Topic: Project Cafe Touch Screen Controller Confirmed

It seems that the Nikkei newspaper has confirmed that the Project Cafe controller will utilize a 6 inch touch screen along with a camera. In addition the controller can be used on its own as a portable console (as to what that entails seems to be unknown). Long running rumors, but interesting to see them confirmed.

I look forward to seeing how this is going to be used at e3. Many games will probably use it for inventories, maps and menus which help clear up the main screen. If its out in the latter half of 2012, then I'll probably be asking for it for Christmas next year.

Good fine, but I'm still going to wait and hear it from Nintendo first, the touch screen and camera sounds too much like the DS, I don't know why they would do that again, also sounds expensive.

Well guys, I don't think that anything at E3 will top the Project Cafe announcement. However, I'm seriously going to be eying Microsoft as I feel they might unveil something big as the XBOX is REALLY old now.

If anyone can get 360 level GFX out of an affordable console then it's Nintendo. That would offset the presumably high price of the controllers.

It would seem that my presumption that the ridiculous touchscreen rumours were untrue was mistaken. This thing is going to be retarded and hugely expensive. What little interest I had in it just pretty much evaporated, lol.

If the controller can render awesome 2D graphics and install small DSiWare-like games on it, I'm sold. :3

Why would Nintendo want to have a controller that is basically another 3DS? This still sounds dumb to me.
Maybe the controller is the new system. I don't know what to think of all this yet. Either way I bet this thing's gonna be expensive. Come on E3 I can no longer stand the anticipation!

It's not, though. The console will sport the real graphical power, but it looks like the controller can generate some basic graphics too and install games, which sounds cool. I'm just concerned about price and batteries, lol.

Seriously! The anticipation is WORSE than killing me, it's making me feel fuzzy and sickly as in 'suffering from allergies'. I've been snuffling and whizzing all day today and yesterday. Oh, and then there is the high anticipation I have for Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS and season 3 of Adventure Time.

BTW guys, GameStop will be showing all the E3 keynotes live from Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft.

How much are new controllers gonna cost then? I won't be able to play FPS games for long, you can't throw the controller at the wall without breaking something... other than just your bank balance.
