I got to see the movie via early screening. The movie isn't as super awful as the media claims, the video game fights are pretty cool, but the comedy is poor and before they fight Pac Man and DK it's pretty boring.
i don't care, i still think it will be awesome to see in theatres. and at least this time i actually knew about it before it came out. i didn't hear a single thing about scott pilgrim until it was out of theatres, and was so pissed i didn't get to see it on the big screen.

This film is getting a lot of hate, but I still want to see it.
Just go see it, every one out there hated the new Transformers movies, but I still enjoyed them. (even though I agreed that some of the humor you see didn't really need to be there, also...the human female Decepticon, ugh...)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
also i don't care what anyone says i still like adam sandler. though his movies have been kind of hit or miss lately. obviously happy gilmore and billy madison were some of the best and still make me laugh my behind off. little nicky was good, thats my boy was good, click was alright. anger management was great. i didn't mind hotel transylvania either.
I just came back from watching this movie. I thought the plot wasn't well put together at all. Most of the jokes aren't very funny. They ignore a lot of the logic of the video games they're playing. There's a fake video game character who plays a notable role in the movie, and that was irritating cause it could have been done without.
It's not that great. Peter Dinklage is kind of funny, but I still wouldn't waste your time or money.
@TeeJay: You can't really judge an entire movie based on horrible trailers. I've seen really, really good movies who had really, really crappy trailers. Sure didn't think I'd like those, until I actually sat down and watched them. This has happened enough times that I no longer judge anything (games, movies, etc) until I've experienced it for myself. You could be missing out on a good movie merely because you judged it solely on a trailer.

On the same basis you could be missing out on a bad movie.
I was originally excited to see this...until I saw Adam Sandler. All the hype died like his sense of humor
Same here. I've wasted enough money going to see Adam Sandler movies.
Um...why so much hate for mr. Adam Sandler his movies are so silly.
I like his older films (and That's My Boy), but for years he has been stuck doing family friendly garbage and playing it safe.
He signed a contract with Netflix to make three movies for them, which will hopefully be more similar to his older flicks. The first one coming out, The Ridiculous Six, has a great cast and will hopefully be pretty good.
