Sothough we should have a thread were we dicuss nongaming tech. You know phones, tablets and stuff. Pretty much a place to talk about new stuff as well as helpeach other out trouble shooting.computers also apply.

Well there are a couple of mobile os in the market.

On the top tier we have

Then you have the even smaller players like symbian, meego, webos, and blackberry.

I hate my I-Pad. Worst purchase I've ever made. >.>. It's even starting to break, with a screen protector and an otter box defender case. . All I use it now for is browsing.

i bought a playbook earlier this year and i have the hardest time with the power on the thing. every once in awhile it shuts off and i can't turn it back on. it drives me absolutely bonkers. I'll never buy another playbook again.

All I use my iPad for is browsing, but I do have a few games installed but I don't bother touching them since I can't get the controls down

Meh, I use my iPod Touch when I need to kill a little time. It's just that though - It would never replace any dedicated gaming console, and while it may appeal to the most casual of gamers, there's just no way it can compete with such consoles.

I'm using my brother's first iPad he got at launch when the iPad was new (he got a new iPad 2 some time ago).
No screen protectors and I need a new case, but it's working perfectly... It is even in better condition than his new iPad.
And I give it heavy use.

So what's every one using. currently I'm using an htc G2 running gingerbread and a kindle fire.

also windows smartphones SUCK!!!!!!!!!

I still have an old 2nd gen iPod Touch It's not really working that well right now (any time I try using it regularly or adding more than 2 or 3 apps, it shuts down for no reason), and because of that I hardly use it. The only app I currently have is the NHK World app.

Oh well, most new games/apps wouldn't work on it now anyways, since it's so old. If I get a new job, I'll invest in a new one or an iPad.

Please none of that. If you don't like a product please explain why and not just troll.

I played around with the iPhone 5 yesterday. It'll be a while before my contract with my 4s expires, but when it does I think I can justify the upgrade. The increased size does feel more comfortable, and the lighter materials used in construction work for me as well.

The iPad is my most used device ever. It's all by replaced my PC, I prefer watching TV/ Movies on it, and its one of my most used gaming devices. There's nothing it doesn't do, really.
