Recently I decided I'm going to start drawing a series of pics based on past Splatfest events in Splatoon 3 that I was a part of (which is frankly easier than drawing the posts on Switch). At the start I showed support to Team Paper in "Rock vs. Paper vs. Scissors" in the Splatfest demo from August 2022 (Rock won btw). Showing support is Paper Mario!
For this next Splatfest piece, September 2022's theme was "What would you take to a deserted island?" and the teams were Gear, Grub or Fun. (Gear won). So I went with Team Grub for this one due to my food aversion.
This next Splatfest support post is based on Pokémon (specifically the then-upcoming "Scarlet & Violet"), I went with Team Grass because I started with Bulbasaur in Blue, and I planned to start with Sprigatito in Violet.
For this Splatfest, I went with Team Sweet because Spicy and Sour are a little too strong for my taste buds to handle. (also the first Splatfest where my team won!)
This particular Splatfest, which I believe was created to coincide with Valentine's Day, revolved around three different kinds of chocolate: Dark, Milk and White. I went with Dark because, and I'm no cardiologist or chocolatier, dark chocolate is supposed to be heart-friendly. I nearly went with white chocolate for this (I like the occasional Reese's white peanut butter cup).

This one was pretty hard for me to choose, all three are very plausible (yet their existence is hard to prove despite how far we've come in technology advancement); both my moms nudged me to Nessie since the sea is so huge and deep, plus our team's ink is green, my favorite color.

Teams: Power/Wisdom/Courage
Winner: Power
So this final Splatfest (for now) was created to tie-in with the then-upcoming "Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom", which was released a week later. I picked Power for two reasons: First, despite my disability I'm still pretty smart (and I have a hyperfixation on all things pop culture) and I'm already courageous enough (to go eat at restaurants alone without freaking out), and second, I've seen that a couple of Splatfests in the past also used the "good vs. evil" theme, and the evil side always won. Of course, even though Power won, we know that Ganon (or Ganondorf depending on the game) will still go down in the end.
@Tyranexx Here's my Anna drawing that I've mentioned earlier in the chit-chat thread. I've done this drawing a couple years back... I even wrote her name in a fancy fairy-tale font!
This was based on a small statue I have of Anna with her Coronation Day dress. Wonder if I should do the full portrait of her?
