So I was thinking the other day, pondering the creativity and massiveness that is Nintendo. When I thought to myself, why doesn't nintendo have a theme park? They have TONS of mascots and have great potential for some awesome rides! Think about it, donkey kong cart rides, Mario kart go-kart races with corresponding courses from the game. A metroid space shooter, a f-zero roller coaster and so on and so forth. I think it would be awesome! What rides and other things should be added?
It would be a cool idea, but it would likely be a money pit. Amusement parks are notoriously expensive to run, manage and maintain. In order to make a proper one which would potentially be successful and not just close down a year or two after the initial novelty/curiosity wore off, it would cost them hundreds of millions of dollars a year, and that's not even taking into account the insane amount of money it would cost to construct it in the first place.
I really wouldn't mind the idea. I always figured they could do it with enough resources, but I just don't think they do. It's still a nice dream though.

The ones who realize that a theme park needs a lot of people (more than big Nintendo fans) to stay profitable and in business.
so disney has a big enough fan base because Disney also applies to aldults too right?
Disney has much more of a brand name and has more popularity. Parents would be more inclined to take their kids a Disney World than a Nintendo theme park. Most people don't care enough about Mario to make as successful as Disney land, or probably successful enough to have profitability to make it worth it. Nintendo's fanbase that would go to something like just isn't big enough.
