so Square Enix can make less money? They aren't Capcom.

Its a greater chance they could make even less money with both releases. Most Gamers are going to wait for the Wii U game any way This isn't the Type of game the Blue Ocean would be interested in. It worked with Dragon quest XI due to the portable nature of the game.

That and it would be better to Have a Good console MMO out on Launch day compared to one running on Crappy Hardware.

While the Wii U game is coming Later i'm thinking it may be the lead platform. I mean what they've shown of the game so far is meh and they keep being Coy about how the Wii U is going to be different.

I do see a small possibility of the Wii U version selling better since gamers hate 3rd party Wii games while the Wii U is desperately pandering to them, but I don't think anyone else sees that logic (and perhaps they shouldn't) since Wii has sold like 100s of millions or something and Wii U, at best, will not for quite a while. No way Dragon Quest X will launch on Wii U, especially as an MMO. The Chocobo Journalist explained why a while ago.

Also, Dragon Quest IX sold because Dragon Quest VIII sold and because it had lots of good marketing and advertising.

Which is 2/3 of what makes games sell. The 1/3 is it being a good game.

Not in america. DQXI sold due to steller marketing and the fact that it was portable.

I am worried with some of the choices they seem to be taking with DQX. Looks to be a Lire version of the old republic style of MMO which can be a good or bad thing.

Here's what I'm predicting:
Q1 and possibly Q2 release schedule
3DS game news for titles like Mario Tennis, LM2, etc.
Another 3DS update announced, giving us even more awesome features (Hulu Plus date maybe?)
1 surprise Wii game reveal
Wii U: Several launch-window titles revealed and a "See more at E3" trailer

That's what I'm going for.

Don't expect anything on the Wii U until we're closer to E3. Nintendo is showing it during CES, but for media attendees only.

I really hope not, the Wii U isn't coming for a while and also I will be able to buy it for cheap on my Wii. I would buy a Wii U version as as well especially since Wii and Wii U players will be able to play together I can have both at home and have my GF play the Wii version while I play the Wii U version. I will be buying BOTH
