Topic: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

"There, finally done!" Spike announced triumphantly as he returned the last of the fallen books onto the bookshelf. "Now let's go look for Pinkie Pie, Gummi!" He tried to pick up the scaly creature but it jumped up, chomped on one of the large green scales on top of his head and remained there, motionless. "I guess that works," Spike chuckled to himself.
No sooner had Spike set foot outside when Ponyville erupted into screaming and ponies running in all directions. "Wh-what's going on?"
He caught sight of Cherilee running by and called out, "What's happening, Cherilee?!" She didn't seem to notice him however, and fled out of sight.
Pushing his way through a herd of panicked ponies, he made his way to a clearing that was becoming larger by the second as more ponies fled the scene.

The last thing Spike remembered were piercing eyes staring directly into his soul. Then everything went black.

No... Oh my God, I didn't know there had been such backlash just from a brief Derpy speaking part, and her name being mentioned by Rainbow Dash! That video was maybe the saddest thing I've ever seen MLP: FiM related.

Ah, the "wonderful" age of political correctness, where the most minor nickname can be blown out of proportion by the ridiculously oversensitive to be made offensive to some group of people.

Last I knew, people all over the Internet were THRILLED that Derpy had a speaking part. Fans were going crazy over it! We've gone from that to the possibility of Derpy disappearing FOREVER? This is just one of those "what the Hell" moments in life for me, where I'm just dazed, confused, and p*ssed off at the stupidity of something.

Perhaps this is a sign that fans should have ZERO influence on the show, because it was fans who named Derpy to begin with. Now, the name has apparently offended enough people (who likely understand little about Internet expressions) after going mainstream beyond the Internet that Derpy may die. For her to perhaps go from an ever-increasing part of the show to oblivion is truly tragic. The possibility of not even "spot Derpy in the episode" is just...

Please, everypony, let's do what we can to save the lovable Derpy Hooves!

@Buob: I hope you two can settle things out... The way you described the situation, it sounds terrible. I'll be praying for both of you.

What?! I love derpy! This humorous 'bad luck' character has been growing on me for some time. (I'd have loved to see her with more screentime) I simply fail to see why the name and character of Derpy is such a problem with people. It seems you can't even breathe without someone being offended these days.

Big Macintosh stomped at the ground in frustration as he watched Derpy and the basilisks fly towards Ponyville. "Eeyyep!" he replied to Braeburn in firm agreement. He couldn't help but realize the hopelessness of their situation and he thought about what would happen to Apple Bloom and Granny Smith... They had to think of something, but what???
"Rainbow Dash!" Macintosh stated in resolve. "You've gotta try reasoning with Derpy and the Basilisks! There's just no other way..."

I wanna make a Mario/MLP fanfic, about the Mario Bros. and the Mane 6 going on adventure to defeat Bowser, Discord, and Nightmare Moon (Discord discorded Luna). At one part, discorded Flim Flam Brothers try to suck up Mario and Luigi into the SSCS6K to turn them into cider. Throughout the story, Fluttershy gets hella mad at how Mario deals with enemies, and Derpy builds a strong bond with Luigi.

Another thought on Derpy: They remove her from the show period because of a few complaints, what message does that send to children (and everypony who watches the show)? That somepony who is somehow different; in Derpy's case her eyes, and being mistake/accident prone; is unacceptable? She has no place in Ponyville, because she's different? I think that'd look worse than taking her out over some silly name concerns.

Controversies like this could mean bigger headaches for the show. Fans angry about Derpy's potential removal criticizing Hasbro/Studio B, or quitting the show.

I ran a Yahoo Club/Group once, but those are just prefabricated, with the ability to make minor cosmetic changes to it. Most anypony could do it, so I'm not sure it really counts. Meant to ask earlier, is that Strider Hiryu as your avatar?

Chasing the mysterious figure through the Everfree forest, and being completely oblivious to the danger that was striking Ponyville, the cutie mark crusader come upon a clearing. There they see before their eyes a field filled with beautiful wildflowers and lush green clovers. A small stream carves it's way through the land with a light breeze nudging the dandelions and flowers. "What is this place!" Exclaimed Applebloom staring wide eyed at the the magnificence that laid before her, and her friends. "I don't know I never went into the forest this far before," Scootaloo said with amazement in his voice. They soon spot the shadowy figure rushing into a nearby hut. "Let's go check it out crusaders." they sneak slowly toward the hut, crouch by an open window and peer inside too see who the mysterious figure is.

There that should do it for now see everypony later, I got to get some shut eye. Good night

Edit: @FluttershyGuy They better not quite the show just because of a bunch of idiots don't like a characters name that is no different than any other accident prone cartoon character introduced over the years.

@Buob - Oh, that is not fair. I see what you mean. No I never had that problem myself, I hope your system gets fixed. No bother away with it, discussion can help. Yeah, parents do have some say, sadly don't they? I hope things improve for you Buob and I'm always available to listen if you need somepony to you.

@SquiggleTail - I set one up in middle school as it was an activity offered to try once, out of a list. Not sure what I still remember, its been a unused skill for about 7 years now, I likely won't be to much help, besides we were shown how to up it together on the computer but not be online. Though I did design one only 2 and a half year ago. So I could see if I could do anything about it.

@I-Hate-Ponies - You must be some kind of genius, I can't stop laughing at your Gummi posts

@KaiserGX - Well its rare I forget anything and its not as pleasant as it sounds and when i forget something, I notice the lack of something more often then not if I'm forgetting something.
I remembered asking for a match and the other thing is Rarity seems like just the pony to play chess and beat me. She just feels like the type to me, with her hidden competitive spirit and her use of her mind in all the clever ways she uses to over come problems, seems like a better player and a great opponent. I'm glad you liked it.

@Everypony - (mainly @ultra128, @MasterGraveheart and @FluttershyGuy) Should I sign the petition? I mean it could be blown off but this would make the 3rd this year, I mean how did I go from none of them, to 3 a year and it just began. I'm just asking if you think it will help because I will take the possible future spam if it would help keep her.

@Sylverstone - Ah it's a real eye condition, well that makes her the third I think. Derpy, Rarity, Twist.

Also I take it the little response is a good thing? (Well as long as one pony liked it, I'll keep going) I hope you looked @Big_Mac. Well anyways to those that have swapnote, I'll send you another sneak peak at some point of which character comes next.

@Dark_TeeJay - Thank you, I had to work with images from the show to make it, I don't have the facial expressions down yet. As for the size, sorry about that, I wasn't sure how big I should upload them, as I wanted them large enough to read. Next time they should be smaller when uploaded. I should have the next one started this afternoon, expect a swapnote sampling what I'm up to, tonight.

I saved them to my computer if that's ok Aqueous? Btw ever time I see your Twilight avatar... nice try but Spike ain't falling for you.

That's prefectly fine with me. It's not likely I'll draw Rarity again for a while but its to bad I can't get you the originals because there is no glare from the light, despite my best attempts to eliminate it. I'm happy to see you enjoy them that much.
Umm, yeah, no, I'm not trying to take Spike from you. It's soon time for me to find a new expression to replace it though.

@Aqueous Sorry I didn't comment on your welcoming comic. Once I read through the next page it must of just slipped my mind. Anyways that is an awesome comic. I like your creative idea of versing Rarity at chess and I think it suits her personality. Thumbs up.

You guys make it very hard to keep up with this thread with nearly 100 new posts appearing every night. Yesterday i was all night making homework (and the semester is just starting), and i have on hold a drawing i began on sunday. Hopefully i will post it on the weekend.

Squiggletail was here several times, wanting to kill Aqueous and needing a webmaster (I have a web server in my netbook, but i no longer have the time or the confidence to make the page run smoothly as could be expected)
And it seems Twilight Sparkle is now trying to take spike away from Rarity.

@Big_Mac - I had an increase in my work load and I decided to make them like that which takes longer but I never forgot you, I've been planning and working since the last one. I'm glad you liked the preview, I should have another tonight. Nope I don't, I was thinking of playing with this one alot, have most of the chess moves in a match play out and welcome everyone, that I delayed but I decided to go short and do more situations, but I was thinking of having the score line up to 3 - me, 67 - Rarity and 5 Stalemates but I ran out of room and decided not to do another 2-3 pieces to add that and just left it as I've been crushed 67 times in a row. I actually know a chess ace as he modestly puts it, I can't even come close, so I decided to set Rarity's skill level to his or greater.

@I-Hate-Ponies - Thank you, sounds like RPing Gummi makes for a fun time. So you know I got one heading your way, 3 comics from now is the one for you.

@Everypony - Thank you for the feed back, I feel a little guilty in getting you guys to look back at it. There will be 6 more coming at the moment, yes they are all late. Also this would be way SquiggleTail wants to kill me, because I took his position, which I'll be leaving when he gets back. If your wondering I can do colour but don't expect it as I don't have my prisma colours on me and I don't feel like pencil crayon, it just does not compare. Also I'll give someweek end racing times to get everypony in okay but later.

@Aqueous Your going to make up a comic for me, WOW no one has ever made up a comic for me before that means a lot.
