@FluttershyGuy - I can cook but I'd need a recipe to follow,, then slowly edit each future time making it to see if I can improve it. Not one for starting from scratch and as long as my mother isn't around, cooking is highly pleasant for me but nope, not going to be able to do it from picture alone.

She's much better at making them than I am, I don't know what happened that time I was making them with Applebloom. At least they were better than the last batch.

That's what sucks. There was no recipe for that version at the ED link, and it looks delicious! Just the one above in the article, with the Pinkie picture in the corner. That turned me off because some were burnt, LOL.

Man, just what I needed! I started having chimicherrychonga cravings today.

Well everypony, the picture @Fluttershyguy posted is probably just cherry filling wrapped in pie crust then deep fried. If I have the time I'll try to make my own this weekend.

The top one on the list looks easy, seems to be tortilla shell, white powdered sugar, icing and cherries (red, green do not appear to be in the recipe). I may be able to work it out, however it likely needs to cook and that would beat me.... I would need a temperature for the oven and a time length.....

I would guess at these steps,
-preheat oven to ??? degrees
-take out tray
-fill (I'm guessing here) 12 tortilla shells with red cherries and make sure you don't over stuff, so they can be rolled up
-cook for ?? minutes
-let cool for ?? minutes
-top with white powdered sugar, drizzle with white icing (icing sugar maybe is what I should call it) and top with left over cherries

Do not hold me to it if you try and you guess cooking times and temperatures and it fails but it would appear to be an easy recipe to do and those look like what the steps required would be.based on it's look alone, however I don't know if they have other things in the tortillas and I don't know how many cherries one would stuff them with. Now I need to go forget a cook book romance novel that I read dealing with Mexico's history. At least the name is not in my head shudder I don't want to remember it, so bad....
I'm such a foal, I had to look it up, "Like Water for Chocolate" * smashes head against fist*, it couldn't do either well and I do not want to go into it, I'm afraid I insulted my teacher by my displeasure with it....

I found this recipe for cherrychimicangas online...

Cherry Chimichangas recipe
2 (21 ounce) cans cherry pie filling
Grated rind of 2 oranges
6 (12 inch) flour tortillas
Slivered almonds
Confectioners' sugar

Reserve one cup cherry pie filling for topping. Mix remaining pie filling with grated orange rind. Spoon onto centers of tortillas. Sprinkle a few almonds over pie filling. Fold in opposite sides of each tortilla and roll up, covering pie filling.

In a large skillet heat one inch of oil over medium-high heat. Fry chimichangas, two at a time, seam-side down, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Sift confectioners' sugar over each chimichanga and top with remaining cherry pie filling and almonds before serving.

I think the drizzled icing would be better than confectioner's sugar, though. Actually, I had in mind a cream cheese icing for it (then again, I'm a cream cheese freak, LOL). And Pinkie would probably use green maraschino cherries just to have something else to talk about! After all, The Big Gun also needs Big Ammo.

Well, I don't blame you. Spitfire hardly has any lines to base a personality off of. Oh and I alternate between being Spike and Dark_TeeJay. If my Spike RPing is good enough you can tell which is which. If you can I'll take it as a compliment, lol.

@Dark_TeeJay: I think the best way to go is to address ponies by character name when RPing (i.e. @Spike) and by separating RP comments from real comments via the power of three hyphens ( -these guys- )and their ability to line form, a-like this:

I mean, that's at least what I do when I got RPs and not-RPs in the same post. But if you're testing your ability to RP Spike, by all means mix it up a little.

As a matter of fact... The chimichangas are a mexican food consisting on flour tortillas with beans, steak pieces, cheese... and it is fried. It isn't a sweet and it doesn't involve cherries. Another fun fact. The chimicherry or cherrychonga dilemma is based on a real life one, if it is chiVichanga or chMichanga.
