If you have Disney plus, please watch encanto, its amazing, the songs were great and wile some were a hit or miss, the two I did like was that good to the point that it didn't hinder my Enjoyment, Also the animation is just, HMM.
One thing tho, the trailers for the movie kind market the movie as a high pace a action adventure, just know this movie is not that, like at all.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

@Rambler I'd love to see @Anti-Matter get into Takeshi films, he starts watching those princess superhero films like Secret × Heroine which Takeshi directed but then slowly moves into his more famous work like Ichi The Killer and 13 Assassins.
@jump
Please don't tag my name into something i will never like.
You already knew my personality and what things i like and don't like.
Also, what the hell are you even talking about that movie stuffs ? 🤨
@Anti-Matter I'm saying you would like it (see below for the smiley princess rubbish you normally like) despite the director being know for more out there films.
@jump LMAO! I know, it was a little odd, it is almost a full blown musical, And I know Disney does that, but they didn't market it as that at all, Like its almost like you saw the trailer for moana, and Instead of the adventure you saw, the whole thing was a play instead.
Encanto was not just a disney movie with good songs placed in like other disney movie's.
Like they stayed in one sitting, it takes place in the town, nowhere else, Dare I say it could even be a play.
Not that I hate it tho, I love it, I'm even kinda happy I was baited, But I still don't like how I when't in/ Was waiting for a kind of movie, and got something they never advertised, the trailer even take parts of the movie to make it look like they go somewhere else, They don't.

@jump
Wait a minute. 😲
I found something similar from that movie with my Japanese 3DS game i have.
They are Idol Senshi, with power of flashy musical tunes to defeat the enemies.
@Snatcher
My first thought for something i have never heard / knew before was like "What the heck was that?" 🤨
Until i saw something very Japanese girly things like Sailor Senshi from that link, i was surprised and relieved. 😅
@Rambler Yeah Gozu is cool. I'd probably say The Audition is my favourite as I remember randomly watching on TV without knowing anything about it so the ending came as a shock. Now if I watch one of his flicks I expect the violent and bizarre even if it's a children's princess smiley film. Saying that I've only seen around 15ish of his films so there's probably a dozen classics better than Audition.
@Snatcher I liked it enough but I wasn't overly keen on Encanto. I enjoyed it didn't have a traditional antagonist though.
@Zuljaras The Spider-Man game looks so good. Alas, I have not a PS4 so I can't play it. I liked how in the ending he basically turned into Raimi Spider-Man, with the police siren and new suit.
@Snatcher I did it enjoy it, I just didn't love it the same way as their other recent flicks like Soul or Raya. It might grow on me some more on multiple viewings as there are enough tiny details to pick up once you know it's about the Grandma's trauma and the pressure she is putting on the family and how it affects them. Although watching it multiple times might be a double edged sword since it's a musical but none of the songs (besides the Bruno one) has stuck in my head so they might grate on me.
I know people like to bitch and moan about Disney but I don't think people give them enough credit for keeping the musical genre alive.
@jump Bruno was like the only good song in my opinion, that and the pressure song.
I don't think Encanto is better then raya, but I however do think its better then soul, I like what they where going for with it but, I just didn't like it, I feel like Pixar does movie like that a lot and I just didn't really Enjoy, I don't dislike it, I just didn't love it. but damn the animation is just, amazing, that was the one thing I really loved.
I agree with you, Disney doesn't get enough Credit for that, I mean, Look at all there movies, If they don't have music in it, thats pretty rare.
Even there shows are packed with it, Music is Disney Pretty much LMAO.

Finally got around to Ralph Breaks the Internet. Not as good as the first, but as someone who grew up watching Reboot I always liked the concept of cyberspace being represented by some sort of futuristic cityscape, so I still mostly enjoyed it.
I do think it started to lean a bit too much into the stereotypical girl power theming that dominates a lot of core Disney's animated films these days, and while there's nothing inherently wrong with that, after the Frozen duo, Moana, Raya, & presumably Encanto, that seems to be more & more their thing this past decade (though admittedly this isn't taking Pixar's output into account).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Has anyone seen The French Dispatch? I saw that last week and thought it was another quality (if at times overindulgent) Wes Anderson movie with his two dozen disciples. Loved it. Standout performers include... absolutely nobody, it was truly an ensemble work through and through.
@RR529 I agree, these princesses need to get back to inbreeding with their second cousins instead of having adventures just like the real royal families!
Girl power is such a dumb inarticulate term which is used so lazily now and always has been since The Spice Gils co-opted it from Bikini Kill's actual use of it. Moana, Raya or Encanto have themes about trust and self-discovery, they aren't really hamming up GIrL PowER. I suppose you could mean girl power by the flick isn't anchored by a romance and the underaged princess isn't married off by the end but Disney have been doing films like that since the 40s so it is hardly anything new and I'd rather not see a half-baked love story instead of proper jolly adventure story myself.
