Topic: Monster Hunter Movie

Seems like it's happening, honestly was hoping for the story to be based on one of the actual games. Seems like instead they're doing the "fantasy meets reality" thing, portal appears, the monsters show up and invade our world. Honestly, fine, whatever....just keep Michael Bay out of it. xp

Anyways, what are you hoping for (besides hoping for a good movie), what monsters you want? As for me, whatever they do, Gore better be the main villain.

Holy hell — what!? The IRL crossover is kind of dumb, but it could be a fun b-movie.

I mean, I guess it would be interesting to see the monsters take on the real world.

I generally dislike things that combine a fantasy world with a real world. Everything I've seen that does it just feels cheesy.

Aside from some of the stuff in the second one, the Transformers movies were ok...But after reading this interview with the director....ugh, I can already tell this is going to be "meh".

Might as well bump this, since we got a glimpse of the movie here.

Seems like Rathalos has the virus while fighting Gore, also Rathalos roars like Tigrex apparently. lol

That glimpse gives me Godzilla 2016 vibes. Also Rathalos's posture while roaring isn't that weird considering a lot of Flying Wyverns recently like to grab the ground to brace themselves (Astalos, Seregios, Blos family). What's more weird to me is the emphasis of blue on Gore... I mean, I know his wings do become that color at some points, but purple is generally his predominant one besides black.
