Those simpler times, when your biggest concern was not getting home on time from school to catch your favorite cartoon, or deciding on Chocolate Sugar Bombs or Frootie Tootie cereal for breakfast. You didn't carefully put your comics in plastic sleeves... you folded, and carried them in your back pocket. Share fun things events you remember as a kid, or anything else you remember fondly.
I remember getting this Kenner Stretch Monster for Christmas. The alternative to Stretch Armstrong, and much cooler!
I watched the incredibly bad Electra Woman and Dyna Girl regularely. It was no Batman, but I took what I could get back then with no netflix, cable, or vcr. Dug the theme song, though!
I remember when I thought Gundam Wing and Dragon Ball Z were amazing, I was impressed when I ate a whole Whopper, and I wanted to grow up to be a cartoonist.
Well, family reunions were pretty enjoyable in the past. Our Christmas get-together's were pretty fun in the past compared to now. And in some summers, my siblings and I would go to a yearly 3-day Bible school full of activities and snacks :3
Ah my childhood... I lived in a remote country neighborhood, and the backyard had two ponds, chickens, horses, fruit trees, and a huge house that we'd have big parties in. To this day I still miss that place...
I can literally spend hours wallowing in nostalgia. I'll refrain from boring you guys but
-Playing Sonic 2 on a loaned Mega Drive for hours on end, and yet never getting past the third stage (surprise surprise, the water level)
-Watching the Tom and Jerry Movie loaned from Video Ezy and thinking it was the best thing ever (it's rated 20% on Rotten Tomatoes)
-Living on my grandparents' farm in China, although it was about the size of a Western backyard. We had rows of watermelon, turnips, garlic chives amidst flowers. Greatest place ever.
-Watching Wheel of Fortune and Catch Phrase with school kids while waiting for my parents to come and pick me up
-Adding ice cream to soft drink
-The fact that not knowing what the future held was a good thing instead of a bad one
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
