There isn't already a thread hidden deep within the forums for this, is there?
Anyway, just wanted to get a thread open for Major League Baseball discussions.
Personally, I'm 23 and have always been a Cincinnati Reds fan.
As of right now, they are first in their division, and would love to see them make it to the World series again.
I think they can do it personally, with players like Bruce and Phillips, and considering Votto is about to come back.

Anybody out there at least have a favorite team or something?
This thread is kind of lonely here.

I'm interested in seeing if my Colorado Rockies can make it to their first 100 loss season. And I thought we were making headway toward our first NL West title. We don't have one after our first 20 seasons, and it wouldn't surprise me if we were division crown-less after the next 20 with this ownership.
Of the recent expansion teams, we're the suckiest. Arizona has a World Series win and has won the division. Florida/Miami has TWO World Titles (and subsequent fire sales). Tampa Bay has a World Series appearance, and has won the toughest division in baseball. We have our fluke World Series run, and I think 3 Wild Card births.
The only thing we have left to avoid completely being the redheaded stepsibling of the aforementioned teams is to win a division title, which the Marlins haven't done yet.
The good news in that race to avoid complete inferiority to the other expansion teams is that the Marlins are just as many years from winning the NL East as we are winning the NL West.
Guess this, as most years, I'll spend the rest of the year cheering against the damn, multi-zillion dollar payroll Yankees. Not sure if I hate them or the Lakers more. Neither ever have to rebuild occasionally. They just buy, buy, buy back their way into title contention and never have to suffer down seasons.
I'm a Boston Redsox fan - but not much to cheer about this year. New General Mgr, new Manager, they traded all their good players away.....it's not a pretty sight.
Looks like this year, the Reds may have some trouble against the Cardnials, or the Nationals. I think those two will be there biggest challange at this point.
So was anybody lucky enough to be alive during the Big Red machine days?

I wasn't alive during the big red machine days, but now I get why Kane was always chokeslamming/pile driving Pete Rose. I never knew they were nicknamed the big red machine and the big red machine's nickname was the big red machine.
And my favorite team is the Cubs, but I like the reds too.
