It's always intrigued me how developers can make a one-button experience engaging, especially when they all follow a similar snowclone. Looking at the iOS appstore for example, games like Tiny Wings, Doodle Jump and Jetpack Joyride consistently get the highest on the charts, while incredibly similar games follow close behind. Since simplicity is more or less required for an endless runner, how does each game differentiate itself for the rest? And what are your favourite ones to play?
My favourite has to be the Flood Runner series, particularly the third. Punching sharks generally makes anything better ^^ Canabalt is also very cool, if only for the atmosphere.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
