Ok, so they made a game mainly about link's cap (I think) That game was the minish cap. So does anyone think they will make a game mainly about his tunic or perhaps his shield?

Also (please don't shoot me down because of this stupid question) have anyone thought of link being a ninja?......okay lets just say ranger or a rouge to make it sound less random. Think about, it could perhaps tell a good story about the sheikith

I dunno. His tunic and shield already have enough symbolism. A talking tunic would also be a little weird...

Ninja, no. I can imagine ranger (due to him being mainly from the forest) or a rogue...maybe. Would be a nice change of pace if the formula is at least half in tact

The game was not about Link's cap... It was a mage who turned into a bird-looking thing that served as a cap.

You could argue that there have been special shutouts for most of Link's garment already too.

From the green tunic of the hero, the antique shield and the master sword.

Good point, But I still think a talking shield would be a little funny (srry for being immature)

I would like to see link be able to transform into a sheik. Because I miss those awesome transformations in MM.

I wouldn't mind some story to the sheild.

But I think Nintendo screwed up a bit by having it in SS. That means they'll have to make a game that takes place before SS to explain the shield and I have no idea how that would work. (I guess it could take place on Hyrule before Hylia put the hylians in the sky maybe)

Link as a ninja, you say? I don't think it's a good idea to change Link too much. The strenght of Nintendo caracters is in the authenticity of them.

The legend of Zelda is essentially one story told many different times, and in different ways.
In each of them, he's dressed in the famous 'Hero's clothing'.

To change that, would be a major gamble - since it would either doom the game into being just a little spin-off; or, it would completely screw up everything we know about the Zelda story so far.
Like, "why is he a ninja? Where's the world famous kokiri tunic? I thought he always wore it."

How is Zelda a one story? I don''t see any similarities story-wise in games like Link's Awakening, Twilight Princess or Majora's Mask.

@Faron - Almost every single game goes the same way...

"There was a great evil, a hero defeated it, the evil came back, the hero didnt."
Then, the new hero (Link) goes off on an adventure in his heros clothing and defeats forementioned evil.

The games are all extremely similar: changing that would screw up the well-known formula.
