Topic: Kindle Fire HD

Hmm might as well as make this the technology thread.

Anywho somebody hold me. The HD 7 inch is tempting to get alongside a ipad or Win8 10 inch tablet. Kind of pissed at the exclusive tablet facebook app as it means more fragmentation. Also not sure if its running ICS or still is a phone OS.

Still might end up going with a surface or ipad mini as apothegm aneroid tablet poems seem to be focusing on Windows 8 and Android tablet app development is spare compared to ios and even windows 8 is catching up and its not out yet.

These look really cool and pretty damn impressive, but I'm still going to go the iPad Mini route when I upgrade. Even if the Mini ends up being $100 or so more, that's more than offset by how many games/apps I already own on my iTunes account. There's no way I'd switch at this point.

We have both the current iPads and Kindles and I honestly prefer the iPad, but the Kindle is nice.

Well the kindle and Ipad aren't even in the dame category.

But yeah really only investedon the phone side of things. I probably only use a few apps on my kindle fore because the selection is garbage.

The real question for me is: Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire HD?

Kindle has more memory and HDMI-out, while Nexus has stock Jellybean and Google Drive apps. Both have Bluetooth, which is essential in an upgrade for me (can't do anything productive w/o a Bluetooth keyboard!).

I'd say stillgo with the nexus 7. Google apps FTW.

Yeah, guess I should wait to see if that 3G Nexus 7 ever materializes. Not that I have time to wait...
