Topic: Katy Perry cut from Sesame Street

I just found out that a skit that included Katy Perry was cut from sesame street because she couldn't keep her melons in the fridge. Here's a spoof of it:

I don't know much about Katy perry but judging from her song Teenage dream I don't think she's exactly sesame street material. Have you heard the lyrics in that song? Damn! (Lets go all the way tonight.) Elmo shouldn't be hanging out with people like that.

Trolls just bombarded the Sesame Street website with complains. I think some of the "complaints" are hilarious. My favorite was probably, "My kid wants milk now."

Okay, if the producers found something wrong with it, they should have fixed it when they were shooting on set, not months later, when they give it to the general public.

That was awesome. Her outfit, not the sketch itself. Though personally, i dug her schoolgirl outfit she wore for her second song more. Yum. =D

As for the Sesame Street thing, the producers/costume designers for the song should have thought better, but i honestly think it didn't even pop into their minds. If you watch the clip, it's not like she's exploding out of the dress or anything (it's more on par with a Disney-princess amount of cleavage, IMO), but i guess they decided just to avoid dealing with prospective complaints from over-protective parents. I can understand that. The sensational US media of course pounced on it, and made a tiny footnote of a story into much ado about nothing.

I don't watch sesame street anymore but I have to say, I don't remember any wars, gun violence, or death penalties... maybe I just haven't seen any baby shows in while.

Maybe they should have gone with the "I kissed a girl" duet instead
