Breaking news - Northern Myanmar has been hit by a 7.0 size earthquake - small compared to Japan, but roughly the same size as the recent one in Christchurch, New Zealand.
At least 60 dead and many more expected. Myanmar isn't built for earthquakes.
Pray for the poor folk over there that just got even poorer. But you won't be able to donate aid. Most likely your country has sanctions on Myanmar, which means you would be breaking the law to provide aid.
Let's hope it's not gonna be as bad as the Cyclone that hit there a few years ago. The military junta practically shut the country from foreign aid groups back then.
Things are not looking good. The Earth is trying to get rid of us.....
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
If you are interested in donating, I'd keep my eyes open. I'm pretty sure the red cross was active there in some capacity after the cyclone in '08, so they may be there possibly with the earthquake too. UNICEF is there too (though, in the US you can only donate to the general US Fund for Unicef). That being said, it's difficult for aid money to actually reach victims there, since their government's such crap, unfortunately - so if you do find a place to give, stick to the bigger guys who have to be more transparent.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
@phoenix Sage its the end of our world and the 21 december 2012 is the last day on the ancients Calendar(from the maya tribe) and it looks like they are right the writings say some extinct animals will reappear there will be tons of earthquakes, tsunamis, war volcanic erruptions and the sea will start to boil

Yes, because animals are gonna rise from their grave, the Sun is going to move about 100 million or so miles closer to the Earth randomly, and people are going to be stupid enough to have war while earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis are destroying their homes and countries. Are we really going to listen to a bunch of old dead guys now?

the animals arent going to rise from their graves(why everybody allway think the animals are dead?) they just lose their places to hide and will reappear and the boiling sea doesnt come from the sun but from the earth itself due to hot magma from below and it looks like they were fully right all the time

Then why wait to die? Have control over your own death? The sooner you take control of your life, the sooner we hear less of this crap. Win/Win!

I thought this was a thread about the Myanmar situation. It's unfortunate that the political situation involving the country is such that it may restrict some forms of help, but thankfully as a general rule the global community does tend to put those things aside in the face of these types of events. Even if if private donations are prevented/restricted, there will certianly be organizations lending their aid (eg, Red Cross), and you can always donate to those organizations.
