That said, there's lots of good recent music out there. Though most of it isn't on the radio much, if at all.

Just watched her music video a while ago and I just laughed. Never laughed this good in a while. Never thought that I would find a song to be this... different. I'd accept this song if it was made by the thirteen year old girl, but for music school graduates? I'm starting to think that they intended their song to be laughably bad to gain hits.

Congratulations, you have just figured out the music industry. They don't care if they are getting a positive or negative reaction from people. The way you succeed in the industry is just being noticed. So, when people hating on Justin Bieber and this girl they are letting them succeed, make money, and giving them publicity.

To find ANY good music, you more-or-less have to actively go and search for it. Most of the music on the radio now-a-days is either pop or love songs, and they are usually boring as hell.

Also, that song is pretty awful...

Yes, yes I am, they are a disgrace. However most of the music back from the 80's is better than this "modern" crap you hear on the radio now-a-days.

Well it's really matter of opinion. I don't like metal. Sounds like random garage noise to me, but you love it. You find my 80's ballads boring but it's the only music I really like. (Or basically anything that came from the 80's).

I will accept 80's metal though. Number of the beast is one of the songs I like.

Yeah, this. Everyone's taste is different and music has become so diverse these days. Part of the reason why I like Last.fm is because it really helps with discovering and sharing artists. Pretty good community there and people are always willing to give their recommendations if you ask.

Yeah, no offense, but it was. I'll expand on that later.

EDIT: Huh. I listened to it a few times to further disect it, and so far it's growing on me. The melody and beat are okay, though some of the chords for one of the instruments feel out of place. And the english lyrics are painful to listen to. Other that that, though it's not that bad a song, though I'm guessing it's an aquired taste.

Then again, I thought the song in Mack's sig was pretty awful, too. It really is just a matter of taste, which is why I don't bother discussing music much.

I was just thinking of all the "rate the song above you" threads, and how it's rare for anyone to actually like the songs that are posted. It gets trivial after a while.

It's like say, man Mac how can you like Tomatos? They make me throw up. They literally do... but Mac loves them like no tomorrow.
