I feel that they overprice some of their used games....I mean....$44.99 for Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Galaxy?? Those games have been out for quite some time now. I understand if the new prices remain high, but their used game prices are horrible throughout the whole store.
They make a nice chunk of change off the used games but you're not forced to buy them. I picked up galaxy the other week used for 29.99. You just have to watch for the sales and decide on your own what price you're willing to pay. Also I got the special edition Conduit without pre-ordering so that was nice.
Dont buy the used games from gamestop. Ever. Splash the extra $5.00 and get a new one, from a differant shop if you can. I try to avoid the place as much as possible, but I know myself sometimes its just conveniant to shop there.
Yeah, the Supermarket of Evil will rip you off at any chance. Try to avoid going there if possible, unless they have some super amazing deal on a game you want.
Evil enough that I never buy new from there, since new is still secretly used. I love buying used there.

[21:15] pixelman: OB knows what he's asking about.
It's evil in the same way Madden NFL sucks. There's not really too many alternatives, and they know it, so they don't really try very hard to be better.
Yes in a way. There are two types of workers: The nice polite ones who seem to know a lot about games, and then there's the #?&!s who are always pestering you to reserve games.
Evil? No. Do they dump toxic waste into the ocean? Overwork employees in unsafe operating conditions? Exploit third world labor in squalid conditions? Scam investors? Drop kick puppies off of the roof of the company HQ? Those are the only ways I would call a company "evil".
I'm always surprised to read stuff like this... I've never had a problem with GameStop...ever! Am I the only one? Because I always seem to get what I want from there...
Oh...and as for "overpriced used games," I found Metroid Prime: Corruption for $7.99 there... Just saying... ...and the trilogy wasn't out yet...
Once I went into the backroom of a Gamestop store. Dracula was there, and he was sucking the blood of the innocents.
So my answer is yes.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I'm with BleachFan888...my Game Stop has nice helpful employees. I get games there but if another store has it cheaper then I will get it at another store.

They being said, they do suck. Hard.
I agree. Calling a company evil beacuse they charge too much money for video games is absolutely juvenile. Let's grow up here, sall we?
Yes, only because they let employees play new games and still sell them as new. The only time I buy from them is if I pre-order, which has happened about 5 times
