@TeaCatherine damn you is right tho, instead of just being able to fly (like have wings) could do that + so much more
@Snatcher yeah i recently binged the entire MCU timeline (with previously never having seen a single one) over the past 3 months, I can't believe id been missing out on so much
Much like Mei's panda in Turning Red, I want to turn into a kitsune. Except I wouldn't have any magic powers nor would I have a super-long lifespan; I'd be a human-size fox who can also walk on two legs, but as a fox with several tails I could run fast, leap far, see in the dark, hear distant sounds, etc.
I've heard people say that before and normally it's just down to not finding the right type of book/writer yet. It seems to be a common problem for the generation where Harry Potter was the goto book to read for tweens and teens as it was so poorly written and boring it turned people off from reading if that was considered the high bar. Luckily I got into Chuck Palahniuk whilst everyone was reading Harry Potter as his minimalism approach is more like someone telling a story than long boring paragraphs.
@jump I wish it was down to finding the right book. I just can't stay engaged, and often my eyes will continue tracking over the text and comprehension phases out. Even if it's a topic I'm interested in. I don't have the patience for reading long things. Or maybe I should use "capacity" in place of "patience". I can read short articles & bits. But if it's multiple pages, or a book chapter, f___________ckkkkk.
