We don't even celebrate Halloween, ever, it's pretty non existent in our country anyway, those who do are usually confined to the larger towns or cities, but otherwise Halloween is an american holiday, just as Queen's Birthday is to NZ.

We normally get only a couple small groups of kids, but it rained cats & dogs so didn't get any. On the bright side we didn't get any pathetic high school kids showing up with pillowcases, and we get all the sweets.
So basically just a normal day just with lots of horror movies due to all the marathons.

I've seen fewer and fewer trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood each year I've been there. We like to decorate the house (inside and outside) with lights, Haloween trees, carved pumpkins, etc. so we are really into it. Sadly, more and more of my neighbors are moving towards the "Halloween is the Devil's Holiday" nonsense and most just head straight to church. We got about 15 trick or treaters this year and I think over half of them didn't even live in our hood. They got the crappy candy.
At any rate, we anticipated a lower turnout so we didn't purchase too much candy. Sadly, I'm left with very few 3 Musketeers, M&Ms, Kit Kats, etc. Oh well, there's always the post-Halloween candy clearance events at the stores.
It was okay. We had the occasional trick-or-treater stop by (11 in total, which is far more than we usually see), but I mostly just went back and forth between playing Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (Julius Mode) and Resident Evil: Revelations and reading Case Closed and A Feast for Crows.
Oh, and my dog chose to die last night, so I had to go out and bury her in the rain. That part was less enjoyable.
Unfortunately my wife and I didn't end up heading out. We've got friends who have a young kid, so they were having a party with the neighbourhood kids and then going out trick or treating. We were meant to go along (this will be our only Halloween in the US, most likely) to check it out but ended up having too much on our plate.
We ended up sitting at home in our costumes over dinner...
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.
Well I didnt get one trick or treater at all this year, but honestly that wasn't too surprising. Over the last few years the number of trick or treaters has been slowly becoming less and less. That and we had a storm move into our area last night just around 5 pm while granted it was nothing like Sandy, I am sure it made some people think twice about going out.
As for me I just sat at home watched Walking Dead, SVU and Chicago Fire and called it a night.

Didn't celebrate it, went to see Skyfall instead @undead_terror Down my road, there was an old couple I saw putting up all of their Christmas decorations 3 days ago, pretty cool actually
I was the sixteen year old guy knocking on doors in my snazzy peter pan attire, got a couple of glares, slammed doors and two candy bars out of pity from my neighbor's it was EPIC.
Halloween is festival of celebration. People like to wear different type of cloth, fancy dress, carving pumpkin. I like to wear fancy dress in festival of halloween.
