The title is self-explanatory. The state you live in counts. Flying over a state or being in an airport doesn't count. Driving can count.

I have been in D.C. as well.(I know it's not a state).

Mostly car traveling, i have only stayed in Arizona and Texas.

Also... Since you never specified states where... I have been in many Mexican states. I could name them, but i don't feel like doing so.
