I got 156 and keep getting letters from Mensa asking to join up, but as far as I can tell the only benefit is being able to say you're in Mensa. IQ tests are by no means a measure of absolute intelligence, and I hold academic qualifications to be worth much more, tbh

I don't put much stock in IQ numbers as the sole-source of judging one's intelligence. I know a few people with pretty high IQ scores that would drown if you put a scratch-n-sniff sticker at the bottom of a swimming pool.

I agree though. It isn't about solely possessing high IQ scores. It doesn't matter how intelligent you are if you're not using your superior intellect in some way for the betterment of mankind. What use is it to have a brilliant mind if all you use it for is to post to game forums and save virtual princesses?

true because theres some really special people with a brilliant mind that can do great things but alas its pretty hard considering said person circumstances of certain disability they got his mind working with something but eventually it fell back to his original state
