We were planning to attend a parade featuring the Boy Scout troop I was a member of for eight years (I made Eagle in 2004), but my dad's back is still iffy, so we might not go.
We watched the closing of the first stage of the Tour de France this morning.
We'll be watching the fireworks from our culdesac, which overlooks the junior college where they shoot off the fireworks.
Otherwise, I'll be watching the Indy race at the Glen.

Yay for Independence Day! I'm currently getting ready for a huge barbecue. The meat has been smoking all night and all I have to do is rip it off the bone, season it and finish it before people show up tonight. Then I'm going to blow up a chunk of my yard with illegal fireworks later tonight.

Already had celebrations yesterday. I had to go to a graduation party, which also shot fireworks for today! Unfortunately, we missed out on a bigger fireworks show nearby that we always go to. Today, we have burgers and will probably watch fireworks from our yard. Not the most exciting way to celebrate, but it's tradition.

I'm celebrating the fourth by watching anime, playing video games, and listening to J-pop...Oh, and I work, too, so the blatant AMURICANism of Cracker Barrel evens it all out.
I fired off some illegal fireworks from my backyard yesterday, though I forgot to make sure I was scaring golfers across the street. I also saw the fireworks my neighborhood's homeowners association set off from the 17th hole, which was nice. Today I'll go see an even greater fireworks show with my family and some of my uncles, and probably fire off some more illegal fireworks. I wonder if the bottle rockets I have can make it across the street if I fire them from my roof ...
