Topic: Graphics Or Sound: Which matters most to you?

When you're playing a game, what matters the most to you? The game's graphics or it's sound?

I'd say sound. Graphics don't really matter that much to me, but nothing enhances a game like a fitting soundtrack.

What are your thoughts?

I agree. Good sound always helps set the mood for games. Take Mega Man 2, for example. It doesn't have good graphics (by today's standards, though it does look fantastic for an NES game), but its music helps the action stay intense, along with its great gameplay and challenge. It doesn't hurt to look nice, but sound matters more than graphics, in my opinion.

Sound.

Tough call, as those two aspects of a game are barely important at all to me as long as they're not broken and they are at least "acceptable".

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong.

I could not agree more. I can't believe how many people judge games by graphics, to me good/great graphics are a bonus not a must.

THANK YOU.

Out of the two, graphics. I really like that 360 games allow custom soundtracks, so I usually just do that anyway.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

I'll take a heaping helping of both, please.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Oh wait. I'm not some kid who thinks he knows games. I'd have to go with sound.

Sound by far. Pretty graphics are nice, but a fitting song can greatly enhance the experience of any game (well, at least for me).

Graphics. You can always turn the sound off to get rid of crappy music and sound but you can't do much for crappy graphics.

Basically this, but if I had to choose, I'd pick sound.

I feel my mind dissolving around...

Graphics, because you can turn off annoyingly horrible music whenever you want to. And you can't alter most graphics.
