Topic: Google+

We've had threads for facebook,Twitter, and pintreast so decided to make one for G+.

So anyone else use Google+. It's pretty much became my main social network with Twitter becoming my back-up.

I made one but never use it was mostly just to see what its like, also there was another google+ thread but it hasn't been revived since Sep 2011 so probably best not reviving the old thread here it is if you want to check it out but think its probably better to use this thread since its newer.

That thread got locked anyway.

I have next to no interest in Google +. It's a soulless service that very few in my social circle care about.

...What are exactly the definitions for a "Soulless Service"?

OT: I've heard good things about Google+ but I haven't even touched any profiles or the homepage. I might join it if good things continue to be said, but right now I'm neutral.

No definition. It's my personal impression of the service. I find the interface too generic, the interaction too convoluted and the complete absence of anyone posting anything there that I can't find on my more active Facebook and Twitter accounts.

It's a completely sterile environment to me, and not fun at all to engage with.

Pretty much my thoughts on it so far.

Eh I prefer it too facenooks horrible interface. And the interactions aren't contrived. I follow a Buchanan of people on the tech/art/political field I like and if something I find cool comment on the post and then start to talk about it with the poster and other commenters. Had a nice talk about web 3.0 and if thus popularity of native apps is halting that devlppmemt. Then you can watch google hang outs and I watched a usual photography hangout where they had some lawyers on to disscus copyright and patent law as it atemds to pintreast and photo use on other social networks.

I'd use it if Facebook forced their timeline on me. That spoots way ug. Google Plus is attractive though.

Edit: also I enjoy being in Google's ecosystem. The fact that Facebook has gone public makes me think it isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
