If anybody missed out on this, you guys need to see FAST Racing Neo in action at the E3.
Gameplay footage of the game :
Ok, why didn't Nintendo include FAST Racing Neo at their E3 Direct? Why not games this, Devil's Third and Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden? Would've made the Direct a lot more intresting. Why exactly I ask? You don't have enough content, you take help from 3rd party games specially ones that are console exclusives like FAST Racing Neo. Also We need to support developers like Shin'en, they've had quality titles pumped one after another and they've been way too faithful to Nintendo consoles. Seriously, they've had so many Nintendo Exclusive titles, Shin'en feels more like a 2nd party developer for Nintendo. Vote by your money and I can say Shin'en really deserves any and every of those votes. (At least for me)
I said most Nintendo fans, now, I may be projecting here, but I still doubt the general Nintendo fan knows who they are, or wants them in. I know I wouldn't like it if they added real people. And besides, short of making them Miis, I don't see what else they could really do without breaking the tone, as Mario sports isn't NBA Jam.
Well, everyone knows the Williams sisters. They're "pop culture" enough to be familiar to people who have never watched a tennis match in their life, myself included. Anyone who was a teenage boy about 10 years ago probably knows Anna Kournikova too, as she was everywhere from magazines to Guinness.
But yeah, real people don't belong in Mario sports games. I think Miis are pushing it, even.
There hasn't been an exclusive license for baseball in 3 years, and I don't think there is a license for basketball or tennis either.
About baseball...
And the case of basketball and tennis. The market is free, but dominated by a specific title (NBA 2K) if the cost isn't already astronomical compared to the potential audience (Virtua Tennis.)

It's not an exclusive license.EA is just to lazy to make a new entry in their best series of sports games, and 2K just made terrible baseball games that no one bought.
You are completely missing my point also. I'm in no way saying Nintendo should compete with those games. I'm saying they should do exactly what they are doing with the Mario sports games, but get the player licenses could really broaden appeal.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
In all honesty, player licenses would only make the Mario games age poorly and drag them down in quality.
Plus putting an athlete on a random game really up sales all that much.

Yes. I have virtually no interest in Mario Sports games. But if I could play as a cartoony Albert Pujols, Felix Hernandez, or Matt Carpenter, I would.
I think a lot of people who enjoy arcade-style gameplay and sports feel the same way.

Mario Maker is $60. I can't believe it. Nintendo's greed these days seems to knows no bounds. This is a feature in a full game at $60. This should be $40 is they seriously wanted to push it. I doubt this game will be that successful. Nintendo's been so greedy lately, that I just don't know what to say. This could start marking in end in my interest in them if they keep it up. I wasn't even interested in getting this game, but I'm still infuriated.

You doubt this game will be that Successful? This game is called Mario Maker not Bayonetta maker,so it's going to be successful.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
