Topic: Games that has you cursing

Right now there's a part in Ninjatown that I have yet to pass. I've probably said some choice words there. _{I'm too stubborn to put it on easy for that level (as the game asks me after saying I seem to be having trouble defending it.}

Blaster Master after losing all your continues (which btw: it never tells you there are limited continues) and STARTING AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME. NO SCREW YOU GAME I'M NOT TAKING 3-4 HOURS TO GET BACK TO ICE LEVEL AGAIN.

So frustrating I find myself squeezing my controller between deaths...

Pilotwings Resort. The missions are evil and I hate the hang glider.

Battalion Wars 2. Not because it's particularly hard or broken - as the gameplay goes, it's pretty solid and I wish I could enjoy it. It's the script and the voice acting. Dear god there is so much wrong with that. I mean, if it was just the usual bad videogame-standard VA, I could live with that. Hell, I used to play Sonic games with the language set to English, so it's hard to make me hate a game for it's story or VA.
But this is a whole different level. Perhaps it's the thicker-than-mud, heavily, heavily overplayed stereotyped-up-the-arse accents that everyone has. Maybe it's the beyond atrocious script, with the Brits spouting 'tally ho, poppycock' in every line, and the Chinese linking everything to 'defending our honour' with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer to the face. Actually, it's both. The game manages to be unintentionally racist with it's VA, it actually makes me angry when playing it.
Going by the shine and polish this game has received everywhere else, I'm calling BS on any arguments about limited budgets. They clearly had the cash to get some decent VAs. And to be honest, I'm not even bothered about it being decent. If you want someone to talk Chinese, employ someone Chinese. Someone with the required accent already in tow, who doesn't have to put it on. Don't get an American to imitate the accent, the scale of which that can go wrong is immense. And it does. They might as well have just recorded all their lines as "CHONG YONG YING YANG YONG" and it wouldn't have been any less painful.
And, a message to the scriptwriter: do a little more research on your cultural targets so you've got more than one theme to give them, and try not to go for the massively over-stereotyped ones. This is a game about thinly disguised nations going to war. If there's any genre you want cultures to be accurately represented in, it's this one.
