I think I'm going to pass. I have heard alot more bad then good after doing some research.
I admit they arent bad I just think they are a bit overpriced. Its costs $15.95 a month for one game where as Netflix and Blockbuster charge $9.99 a month, and Gameflys service isnt as good as the other twos.

They give you a free trial so you do not have base your lifestyle choices off of others (usually bad) perception of consumer services.
Try it for free and make your own decision.
the free trial is almost impossible to take advantage of. it is only 10 days and it is virtually impossible to actually get a game from them, play it for a day or two and get it returned within 10 days. If you don't cancel within 10 days they will charge you the renewal fee, and if you cancel before they have received their games they will claim you have stolen them and charge you the price of the games. Some people complain that their credit cards were charged the day they started the free trial.
Anyway, I started my free 6 month membership a few days ago and in the evening I put about 20 games on my list ranging from very low availability (old gamecube games like Luigi's Mansion), medium availability (Dead or Alive: Dimensions), to "Available Now" (Mario 64 DS). They didn't do anything the next day so that was weird, but the day after that they shipped me DoA and I'm waiting for it now. Luigi's Mansion was first on my list but since the availability is low they sent me DoA at #2 on my list. I was happy about that b/c DoA was only Medium Availability but they sent it anyway. I'll post here about shipping speeds and whatnot.

ok so exactly 1 week after signing up for Gamefly I have received my first game. I'm hoping that doesn't mean a total of 2 weeks for me to get it back to them and receive another. we'll see how that goes.

This is the info I needed. I think I'll pass on Gamefly, too. Man, I really wish Hollywood Video didn't go outta business.
I shipped back DoA exactly 1 week ago and received my next game today. 1 week turnaround is actually better than I expected. The day after I shipped it Gamefly posted that they received the scan from the USPS and claimed that they shipped my next game. Making use of the scanning system at the USPS to speed things up is cool.
The only complaint I really have is that by "shipped" Gamefly seems to mean that they told someone to ship it, and that guy takes a few days to actually get it in the mail. The USPS doesn't take 6 days from Texas to Arkansas. They really need to get their act together and hustle a little bit so people don't feel like they're wasting money waiting.
With an average of 1 week turnaround that probably means 3 games a month for 17$. I guess the better deal is for 23$ you can have two games out at a time and stagger the shipping for maximum play time, but that seems like a lot to pay each month. Ultimately I just wish my Blockbuster had a better selection of games.
Ok I am just wondering for those who have Gamefly whats the condition that the games come in. The reason I ask is cause I have Blockbuster Online and the last 3 games that I got from them I had to send back cause they wouldnt work in my systems even after I cleaned them and everything. The last game I got had fingerprints that no matter what I do wouldnt come off. I dont know what the person before me did but I tried windex breathing on it and they just wouldnt come off.
Anyway how do Gameflys game look when they come?

@Tasuki I'll let you know when I get a game that isn't for 3DS or DS, obviously those have been just fine.
In other news I got my new game today and the turnaround was the quickest yet. I sent back my last game on the 4th and got the new one in the mail on the 8th.

Blockbuster does have GameCube games and DS games, but I haven't found any 3DS games. I don't know if that's a dealbreaker for you or not, but I think it is a better deal than GameFly. Take a look here. http://www.blockbuster.com/games
You cant rent the DS games and Gamecube games through the mail from Blockbuster you can only buy them. So in that case Gamefly is better. Although I have been thinking of switching over to GF these past few weeks but its the price that keeps me at Blockbuster.

yeah that's the deal breaker for me at this point because the vast majority of my game queue at the moment is 3DS games I want to try out and DS games I missed.

Well I saw this coming when GameFly bought out Direct 2 Drive a few months ago. GameFly will be starting a beta program to download PC games.
