Topic: Flash Gordon anyone?

I found out the other day that there is Milk in the pudding and it is Flash Gordon the movie coming sometime next year, there are no pictures or teasers yet but there will be soon. This is who they think will cast as Flash in the movie "Sam Worthington" we all know who he is !

Anyone watch this TV Series?

Hope it'll be far different from the 80's movie, which felt like kinky (not to mention cheesy) softcore porn! Given a change in direction, I'm for it.

Whenever someone mentions Flash Gordon I always think of this and than have that song stuck in my head.

Oh gosh I hope its not like that movie, I never saw it but I saw trailers and it turned me off terribly. I have read the comics and watched the newer tv series. I hope its good and doesn't have bed scenes x.x, kissing and making out okay but nothing more than that. And I hope he doesn't have creepy creatures and ugly monsters in this film.

I LOVED the 80s movie. EPIC.

I also really enjoyed the recent TV series. Even though it got bashed to death by critics, and it wasn't the greatest show, i really really liked it, it had a certain sort of charm going on. I have the pilot movie/episode on DVD, but sadly i don't think they ever released the whole series on DVD in the US, otherwise i'd totally grab it.

If they end up making a new film, it'll likely be more like a modern reboot of the original, classic Flash Gordon from the Golden Age of comics and the original movie serials.

EDIT: And Sam Worthington i think could make a good Flash.

I think he would be great as well, my dad said he would be a bad Flash but I think he is perfect for the roll.

And I miss the Flash Gordon tv series as well. I am sad they canceled the show, it was so good. Maybe they will bring it back when this movie comes out next year, hmmm you never know.

Nah, they won't bring back the series unfortunately. It had horrible horrible ratings, even for the Syfy channel, and cost too much to produce. But since it ended on a great cliffhanger, i held out hope for quite a while. Too bad.

The SyFy Channel Flash Gordon was my first exposure to Flash Gordon. I enjoyed listening to my father talk about how he enjoyed Flash Gordon in his youth and so it was really a blessing for me when SyFy began that TV show but sadly it was cancelled thanks to negative critics.

Anyway, I'm thinking this movie will be far better than that awful 80's film.

I have fond memories of the movie. Queen's theme song is pretty epic ofc. I think I'm going to go buy the song on Zune now.

I agree with everything this man says. I enjoyed the new Flash Gorden, and the 80s Flash Gordon movie, and Sam Worthington would make a good Flash Gordon.

He has the flash Gordon look, I think. I just hope there will not be a bed scenes oh and cursing in the movie o.o, kissing fine with me nothing other than that.

Normally I'd disagree with you on a situation like this, but I actually find bed scenes to be quite annoying. I don't know why, amd chances are the real reason shouldn't be explained here. I just do.

And Cursing is pretty much guaranteed.

Don't make me start writing a list.

When I see a bed scene to me I get like a pit in my stomach and I feel left out >.> as well. So I rather not see that in movies.

But I guess your right about the cursing in a movie.
