Tales of Symphonia- One of my favorite gamecube games. Though it has a very by the books story at the time it amazed me. That and I loved the ATB system.
Zelda: Skyward Sword (not really an RPG, but whatever)
Wild Arms (PS1)
I tried to get into Final Fantasy (the Super NES versions of Final Fantasy 3 and Final Fantasy 4, and FF4: The After Years), but I found them too boring. Same with Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana.
@Mickeysnacks Huh? I like the character designs, music and how it doesn't take itself too seriously. Funny lil enemies like Slime Knights and Dragon Slimes. I like the Battle System IX and even though I didn't play much of the older ones, thanks to Earthbound I dig that first person thing.
I'm done with Final Fantasy. The only thing I currently play is FFXI which is why I really hope Dragon Quest X comes to NA. Though I really liked the FFIV. Newer games have to much... idk what you call it. I'm gonna say anime drama.
Action: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (PC)
Dang, I actually believed ya for a second. After looking it up I see it's round-based, which means it's an action/turn-based hybrid, not exactly an Action RPG. You may just want to label it as Western or whatever, so more people don't get confused.
I dont know I always though it was an RPG. They do take the game mechanics from the D20 Star Wars table top game and as you pointed out the combat is turn based.

Its an RPG. most of bioware's games are real stat heavy. The guns and bullets each have stats.

I'm sorry for the way I worded it, but it is definitely an RPG just not an action RPG.
I meant what I said @Nickynacks. All I am playing is Dragon Quest IX thanks to Fortune Street but (the slowly) but I'm quickly getting into the series by looking up info, watching interviews and game play from older games. Also if Dragon X is is like FF XI I am really going to like this.
A gripping story with the perfect flow and just the right amount of drama/comedy/romance, interesting characters that grow incredibly the more you spend time with them, more varied and enjoyable dungeons than its predecessor, an intriguing battle system with the Press Turn concept which can make any fight your last and makes boss fights a mad haze of strategy and luck, a quest that could take you over 80 hours easily and even then make you wanna start over to see what else it offers, and sublime connections between the Social Link part of the game and the dungeon part make this my favorite RPG (outside of Golden Sun but I'm too impartial to that).
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Final Fantays 13 and I'm really looking forward to Final Fantasy 13 - 2. Especially after reading this:
"Final Fantasy XIII-2 has received perfect scores from the Japanese magazines Famitsu and Dengeki PlayStation.
Famitsu editor Ranbu Yoshida said, "It feels like a very different game from its predecessor; the story changes depending on where you choose to go in your time-traveling journey, and it's easy to lose yourself in changing and redoing areas you've previously finished." While assistant editor Norihiro Fujiwara wrote, "The setting and presentation is fantastic, and the issues people brought up with the first game — its linearity, its lack of meaty gameplay — are a thing of the past. You're sucked into the game right from the beginning, and the story's very easy to get into."[33]
Dengeki has given the game an S rating, the highest rating that is achievable in the magazine."
And @Mickeymac you're gonna be able to play it on your new PS3. Cool no?
