@GrailUK they can’t even get Cyberpunk to run properly on a Xbone or PS4, I imagine if a Switch Pro port ever does come it will be after they have fixed the existing version.
@GrailUK I wouldn’t say it’s even an integrity thing, if their guys are trying to fix the already out version who are they gonna use to get it running on a weaker console?
@VoidofLight If there's a lot of content to be announced, sometimes having an announcement in a different event can increase overall excitement.
In other cases, it may be that there's too much to cover for 1 game that revealing all of it in 1 event slows the pace of the event. Xbox is a good example for this, I could see an outcome where Halo Infinite gets campaign info at Summer Game Fest meanwhile E3 covers multiplayer to prevent an outcome where about a third of Xbox E3 2021 is Halo Infinite.
Perhaps the first game using 64 GB game cards will be revealed. Although, file size likely won't come up during E3, so we maybe won't know until after E3.
@WoomyNNYes care to make a prediction of what that game will be?
If their is a Switch Pro I wouldn’t be shocked if GTA5 is announced for a Switch release at the same time as the other versions for Nov and it will be using one of those massive carts.

There's been so much silence regarding upcoming games, I have no idea. I hope it's a game I'll want? I want Kingdom Hearts. So, I'll guess Kingdom Hearts. This is probably a terrible guess. I know nothing about kingdom hearts file sizes.
GTA5 is a decent guess. I'd say Monster Hunter World could be another candidate - not a game I'd want, though.
If bigger cards do start to get used, I wonder if Dragon Quest Heroes 1+2 with finally get a Switch release outside Japan. It was a launch title for the Switch in Japan which used the 32GB cart if I recall correctly but didn't get a Switch release outside Japan.
My money would be on a Japanese studio. Could be Capcom got theit 8gb of ram they always wanted and can bring a game over. If it is a western studio, then it could be something like Cyberpunk 2077 but something tells me that isn't going to garner as much hype as it could have done these days.
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
My predictions are crash in smash, some botw 2 thing, and a new Mario kart that releases next year to celebrate the eight year of mariokart 8, so then if the next one is named mariokart 9 you then have to wait nine years for a sequel!
That announcement brought down my hype level a bit. Just dropping "hey, we're going on the last day of E3 and having Treehouse afterwards", no Switch Pro announcement, no mention of which games they're focusing on, only one day of Treehouse, that's all a bit less than they usually give us and it seems like we're getting less than what's rumored.
I think the rumor of Switch Pro before E3 is probably false now, if they were going to announce it before E3 to allow third parties to show off Switch Pro multiplats, why didn't they announce the Switch Pro now? Why are they going the last day of E3, after all of those third parties have shown off said games?
Usually when they announce their E3 plans, they announce which game is the focus. In 2016, it was BotW. In 2017, it was Mario Odyssey. In 2018, it was Smash Ultimate. In 2019, it was Luigi's Manson 3. They didn't announce a focus game for this year, so what is it? It doesn't sound like it's BotW2, if it was they would've announced it. Does that mean they even have one? Is the lineup going to be that underwhelming?
Only 1 day of Treehouse is also a bad sign. Most years they have 3 days. So do they have less games to show? Very concerning.
I'm still hopeful that it's going to be good, but no longer confident. If the presentation was as packed as it's been rumored to be, I don't think they'd be doing it this way. This has me a bit worried.
@Bolt_Strike I never expected anything related to a switch revision honestly. As for the treehouse, that is a bit concerning, since it means they're only going to have a few games to show off, seeing as it'll be 3-4 hours long.
I don't think having a focus is such a big deal, since anything could happen, and maybe the game that is the focus isn't even announced yet. However, usually the focus game is the one they're building their booth around, and seeing as how there's no physical venue this time around, they're probably not bothering, and will probably do a generic digital venue.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@Bolt_Strike The Direct is the same time and day as it was in previous years. Also 2017 and 2019 had no focus announced for the E3 Direct, it was the September Directs that had a focus announced for Mario Odyssey and Luigi's Mansion 3 (+ Sword/Shield) respectively. Finally the length of Treehouse being a lot shorter fits in with the fact there is no show floor.
I think it's good news that there isn't a focus game, because going in that would have already meant that a good chunk of their presentation would be given to a previously announced game. Their Direct can be more surprising now. My only worry is how much time Smash is going to get, because more than likely at least one fighter will be fully revealed with a new trailer and gameplay.
