I'm starting to get very worried at all this so called DLC. DLC is meant to be made AFTER a game is already sold and in shops, but lately Nintendo and a lot of other game developers are just simply CUTTING parts of the game out then trying to put it in a DLC wrapper and selling it to us 1 week after the games out....
Is it our fault for not complaining or are they just being lazy and ripping us off? I just need to know if i'm the only one who's had enough of this BS. So lets discuss.
Firstly evidence the content has been cut.
Secondly a game is not released to instant it is finished. There is a period of time during the process of localisation and publishing and whatnot for the developers to start brainstorming and developing dlc.
Can we just ban tiresome pseudo-discussions like this by default?
anyway, here's some thoughts from people with a brain:
I don't even like day 1 DLC (barring maybe some costumes or the like) but wasting people's time without your uncreative complaints is something I would buy for the price of DLC to stop ASAP

Other companies yes, but not Nintendo
Do you like videogames? If so, you must know
It's dangerous to go Alone.
Well Nintendo themselves been pretty good with us when it came to DLC so far, it's just Tecmo Koei doing DLC that way with Hyrule Warriors since that's how they roll with previous game DLC.
Nintendo should not be in the same sentence when it comes to cut content being DLC. I haven't seen any game that Nintendo has made themselves where the DLC just unlocks stored content.

Yeah, I've thought Nintendo's DLC policies have been pretty fair so far. It's all content developed AFTER release, isn't required for anything besides extra fun/fanservice, and is usually fair priced (MK 8 DLC packs for $12 is about what I paid for ME3 Day-one, on-disc DLC).
Unfortunately, Tecmo Koei has one of their games with Nintendo's stamp on it...so I could understand why people would think Nintendo could be going off the deep end. But until there's a Zelda game with Day-one DLC that allows you to play an alternate story as Zelda, I'm not too worried.

Seems fair.

Prove that the content was cut.

Yes. Let's discuss a what-if situation and get upset without actually knowing if it's true or not.
Isn't the first round of Hyrule Warriors paid DLC coming out in a few months? How is that Day 1?

Previous games had more content though.
True, but the Zelda Universe isn't exactly brimming with characters you'd even have half a mind to see on the battlefield. I mean for god sakes, they resorted to the bug girl. I think people overestimate the Zelda franchise if they think they're gonna get 50+ characters out of it like you'd see in other Warriors games.
Isn't there only going to be 2 character that come with the Majora's Mask pack? you know they could of token a nice few characters out of that game that could of worked! I can name a nice few as well.
Honestly, I think Nintendo have been making DLC's that don't really matter. (So far) Hyrule Warriors looks it can still be played at its best without any of the DLC's. Its still very broad when you see it and Warrior games don't really need DLC to have the full fun package. Same with Mario Kart imo. DLC's for more characters but still, people would enjoy the game just as much as the guy with the DLC's, without them. Its just that type of game. Unlike Fire Emblem Awakening where I want to play as all the old school character such as Ike, Roy and Lyn, yet have to pay when great events like thiese would have been better off in the game. Another thing is Nintendo don't always give away a present in a DLC. Pokemon since the dawn of time have been doing events and all you have to do is get off your arse and go to the game store to collect. If Nintendo did that more for more games. The community would be a happy place.

Listen so long as the dlc isn't on disk, or in production along side the actual game I'm okay with it. Can we just stop opening this can of worms? This same exact conversation has come up a million times.
