That is what you call a young guy who doesn't know how good he has it. I see this type of thing happen a lot, and it always end in regret and shame.

Bleh. I guess I'm depressed. I think I'll do some homework to keep my mind busy.

@GuSilverFlame I never understood why girls flock to this kind of guy either. Especially when it's obvious that he's showing interest in them and their friends. It is true though, that a lot of people are dumb. Not just girls, but both genders involved in this kind of thing.

@LordJumpMad I totally agree. He's 21 yrs old, but he still lives in his high school days. He obviously misses the attention he would get from multiple people in the hallways of school. However, when you propose to a woman, you make a commitment, and that commitment isn't only to the woman, it's a commitment to yourself, to be a better man, and improve the life of yourself as well as the woman you wish to be with. He doesn't realize that, I guess he just thought it was a cute gesture when he proposed to her with a candy Ring Pop.

@Mickey I can only hope what goes around comes around to him. He's a liar and will go to any length to cover his donkey. As a means to make amends, he's deleted his Facebook, but that doesn't really change all the phone numbers he has, it doesn't change the matter of the girls that sometimes show up to hang out with him. I just hope my niece realizes this. Maybe I shouldn't be so concerned with her personal life but, she's family. And I'll be damned if I want him to become family. :/

@maxcriden Thanks for that, I just hope my wife's words along with mine do more good than bad. For example, if she chooses to forgive him, and turns in spite of us because of our counter opinion.

@WingedFish Thank you sir, I trust you have the same morality that any man should have when regarding women. Chivalry is not dead.

@Retro_on_theGo It is sad she has to go through that, but everyone has to go through that in a way... I just know it's more painful for her because the relationship lasted so long, the majority of her memories of the past 6 years will now involve the man that betrayed her trust. That's going to be painful, but as I explained to her, a failed relationship is not wasted time, it is a lesson learned and a guideline to follow when finding the one you're meant to be with.

And also, I have convinced my wife not to cut his face.... For now.

I need to stop reading this thread... it always gets me depressed... but I don't know what I come here expecting!

Haha it's actually the daughter of my sister that's been wronged. My sister is happily married no worries, though I appreciate your sentiment all the same.

@Retrowire I understand. I also hope he gets what he deserves. I hate it when people do something like this and I can never understand why. u_u I wouldn't dare toy with a girl's feelings like that. If there's another you just have to break it to her, be a man. My current girlfriend was cheated on by her ex before me. She's different ever since that jerk did what he did and I won't stand for anyone hurting someone like that. Man or woman.

You know, my wife and I were talking about that. Why do people do this? And the conclusion we reached was, Greed.

To have enough and only want more, it's just greed. When people apply that greed to relationships, they are essentially treating people like objects. Well, people are more than objects and when there's someone that lives their life this way, it can only be certain that they are a very self centered person.

And my condolences for the jackhole that scarred the one that you love. It is a scar, but the best you can do is protect the one you're with from more harm. Healing that scar, is up to her.

@Retrowire I know this much for sure, when I find my wife-to-be in the future (probably within the next few years since I'm 18 now), I'll treat her with the utmost respect and remain loyal to her no matter the circumstance. That, in my eyes, is what makes a true man.
