Topic: Dara O'Brianin's Go 8 Bit - Thoughts?

For the last two weeks in the UK we have had Go 8 Bit on Dave at 10pm on a Monday. Basically it's a group of comedians competing on all sorts of video games. And they always find a twist to some of them. Sadly I missed last week's but I just made it in time for the 2nd episode and glad I did as it is absolutely hilarious.

They started with a Sonic the Hedgehog 2 race. Pretty good start, a few giggles here and there from me. They had Portal 2 on next and that made me laugh as one of them got stuck in the classic go-in-and-out of the Portal. They had Snake on next but that didn't last long due to one of the players being rubbish. Surprisingly they did LittleBigPlanet 3 which was quite competitive on my end.

However the best one had to be the "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes" game. They had the Bomb Disposal Instructors sealed in a case with a giant balloon that expands until eventually it bursts (covering them in powder). I don't I ever laughed as hard as I did at a computer game before as it was just absolutely funny.

Needless to say I am definitely watching it again. If you want to have a laugh at poor unfortunate comedians trying to play computer games, I really recommend it

Not even heard of it, but I don't see much Dave I guess. I'll try to remember it for next week, thanks. Is there any form of Catchup for Dave anywhere?

Watched Monday one with Bob Mortimer and yeah it was pretty good, I see they've got a few of the journalists that was on the Gaming tv show on Challenge appearing on the show.

I was on Twitter yesterday, tweeting one of the comedy duo, demanding they do a Sensible Soccer feature. He said I might be in luck

Just me who cringed when Steve said that, 'old games are ****, it's all rose tinted glasses'?

And playing Flick Kick Football made me realised that the majority of mobile phone games with a 'one finger' mechanic are as deep as an almost dried out puddle. Although the lady guest (forgotten her name, sorry) did say that Tetris is her favourite game of all time so, that kind of balanced things out!

Fun seeing Resident Evil 3: Nemesis again too! And I love Bob even more for saying that the first three Resident Evil games are the best, and that the series is not the same anymore.

Go 8 Bit is quite amusing, but I don't think I will go out of my way to watch the rest of them though.
