@Owl1 Alright, so I guess you've gone back to your normal strategy for getting threads shut down.
So, were you joking all along or were you serious to begin with?
Currently playing: Metal Gear Solid

@TeaCatherine it's costs each tax payer less than £2 a year for the Monarch.
How much taxpayer money is wasted each week on Policing football matches or stadium concerts?
I've had a fantastic day with my family watching the show, what more do I want or need?
It's brought us together for the bank holiday and many more millions across the country.

You can make it look smaller by breaking it down per person, but it is still estimated to cost upwards of around 100 million quid almost exclusively of the tax payer's money for this whole thing, imagine the good that could if done had they invested that in our woeful school system, or our housing crisis, our homeless population, the people starving working two jobs or not able to pay their bills despite spending every moment working, because of the awful state the country is now in under torie lead?
I'm so glad you got to spend a nice afternoon with your family, but this ain't it, chief.
@Pizzamorg I'm Welsh so I'm stuck under Labour's woeful management of the country. Give me the Tories anyday lol.
Anyway this thread wasn't intended as a political bitch about Government thread, it was intended to discuss the good stuff people are getting upto for the bank holiday weekend.
How often do we get to see a major Historical event unveil after all irrespective of views of Charles.
@jump Apologiws, I always thought the Clubs paid for the policing in the actual grounds but the ones patrolling town centres because of the fighting was footed by the Taxpayer. Didn't realise that the club was responsible for the full lot.
@Chaotic_Neutral Legally clubs don't have to pay for bobbies unless it is in the grounds but most have worked around it with the licences. In any case it's not the 80s anymore, all the thugs can't afford tixs for a game now just to have a fight. I've got a few family members who are Millwall fans, who are notorious for being the most hooliganesque, and I've heard so many fudged up stories from them about back in the day. Also add football hooligans to my list of proud British culture from earlier!
Music festivals are squeezed tight by the police for money since the police both set and approve the number of fuzz needed for the event which has put a few under.
Oh to be British. We got nonces in capes, police arresting the homeless for just being alive I guess and chavs fighting over people kicking a ball. So proud and patriotic.
@jump Definitely something we have that other countries don't, and also something I can add that to the list of stuff I'm to old for nowadays lol.
My first broken fingers were during a footie punch up when I was about 13, Ironically I never used to actually go to the match. I think that scene has gone much more underground nowadays as you don't see the carpark brawls like you used to back in the 90's.
@Owl1 Not quite, actually. When I wrote it, I gave both a capital Q; the site changed the first one to lower case. Turns out they should both be lower case.
