I meant I would have waited to download it another month. I could have used the 50 dollars for something else. I just feel stupid that I didn't know to make sure I could get a free game by buying a second copy, which I bought to replace the broken one. I could have used my husband's or one of my kids' accounts. The only reason I bought one now was for the free game. My son picked the first one because it was his birthday present (Mario Kart 8).
Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword
Ah...I see. Well, it's spilt milk at this point. No use in feeling stupid about it now.

Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
Ugh I just found out a crappy thing. I downloaded Mario Kart 8 to replace the one that broke in half and found out today that only one copy of the game per account (I have a family account) is allowed in order to get the free game. If I knew this I would have waited until next month to download the game. Now I feel so stupid!!!!!!
The fine print specifically stated that you only get one free game per account. I can verify seeing this

So, uh, unless I looked at the US Club Nintendo page wrong, the only rewards for elite status this year are free game downloads. And since I'm only gold, I pretty much have them all already. I only have a 3DS, and for a gold member with a 3DS, your rewards are limited to Donkey Kong 3, Metroid, Super Mario Land 2, and Wario Land 2. That's pretty disappointing.
I am not a number, I am a free man! Er, except on my 3DS - 3308-4553-9848
I'm having a tough time deciding on my platinum reward, I'm debating between DKCR and Fluidity spin cycle, the main reason I haven't already gotten DKCR is because I have heard it is quite hard, and I SUCK at platformers and don't really feel like playing another hard one, so can someone confirm how much easier the 3ds version makes it, otherwise I think I might have to take fluidity, thanks in advance
@AlGator Just as an example, is it much harder than a game like rayman legends, because I struggled through some of the last stages of that game, and it didn't even have a life system, yeah I'm that bad >_<? Also, as I'm a newcomer to the DK series, does the life system work like Super Mario Bros, where you have to restart the entire world or like Super Mario 3D World, where you just restart the level? Thanks for helping?
I'm only on the third world of Rayman Legends so I can't compare it to the last levels. You start the level over, not the world, and I never came close to running out of lives, but some levels took many tries. But if you have a hard time with platformers, you may find the last couple of worlds to be extremely difficult.
I just order Mario & Donkey Kong as my reward.

@AlGator Okay thanks for your help , I think I'll get DKCR as it seems like the much better game, even if its harder, I think I will be able to push through it
I'm still thinking about Dillon's Rolling Western or NES Remix, but I'm leaning more toward Dillon.
I have the second NES Remix and enjoyed it a lot, but I've been thinking of trying Dillon for quite a while.
I was in the same spot, but since Dillion's controls aren't lefty friendly I got Remix. If you're a lefty then I'd say Remix for you, but if you're right handed Dillon's would probably be better.

Both are good choices. I haven't played NES Remix, but I got Rolling Western when they offered it as a normal reward a while back. (Making it the weirdest Platinum reward) I really enjoy it, the strange thing is I've barely played it. I was playing one round (which takes about half an hour) once a day, but after a few days I stopped.i think I may have been busy with other games at the time though, which might explain it.
I suppose I'll be getting NES Remix because I don't have the space for anything else and I don't want to get a Gold Reward. I'm still really upset there's nothing special, though...
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
