I'm a little old fashioned I know, but does anyone else besides me think there needs to be more physical versions over digital and games should be sold more in stores than online mainly because if there's a problem instead of paying more for shipping to send it back and wait 2 weeks if not more to May or may not have the issue resolved?
While I do think games (Indi games mostly) should have physical versions, I also believe that not every game has to do this and should remain digital only.
Definitely. I prefer physical media (due to ease of sharing and less worry about needing to download the games again should something bad happen) and wish a couple of somewhat recent releases, like the Ace Attorney Trilogy and Fatal Frame/Project Zero, were available in physical format.
As to buying games online, there's always the possibility of there being a shipping mishap. Even though most digital stores allow you to return the item, you still need to take care of the return shipping and wait even longer before you get it in your hands. Thankfully I haven't had this happen with a game, but I had to return a DVD set once because half of the disks arrived shattered (It wasn't packaged correctly).

While I do prefer physical over digital, I am finding myself buying alot more games digitally this gen. I think alot of it has to do with the sales PSN and XBL have for games compared to how often physical copies of games go on sale.
For example I got Diablo III Ultimate Evil Edition on PSN a few years ago for 25 dollars through one of their sales where places like Walmart, Best Buy and Gamestop were selling it new for 60 and used for like 55.
The only downside is I can't trade the games in when I am done with them like I could with a physical copy.
