Okami is a good game, don't get me wrong, but a game can only drag on for so long. Sometimes a game just needs to end.

yeah, the last 3rd of the game felt weak at times and story-wise was a huge step down from the rest of the game. I probably would have liked it as much as my favorite Zeldas if that wasn't true.
I loved Okami, but I found myself getting constantly lost and turned around, and that ended up adding way too much time to the game. So I feel you guys on the "drags on" factor.
Monster Hunter Tri is a game that I really wanted to like, but the game's slow onramp and constant hunger for all the hours of my life eventually put me off of it. Don't get me wrong, I had fun with it, and objectively I'd say its a great game, but I just don't have the time I had when I was 16 anymore, and these hardcore grind games are ultimately way too time consuming for me now. So, back to Gamestop it went.
Honestly the only thing good about DKC is the art. By art I mean graphics and music. It IS pretty shallow gameplay-wise. Miyamoto dislikes it, and I can understand why. I personally like it because art is a huge part of games for me.
A shallow game filled with horrendous level design, muddy graphics, horrible character design, and tons of cheap deaths.
The fact that DKCR fixed all of these problems and then some makes me happy.

Amusingly, the same thing happened with Okamiden.
Aside from that crazy side quest that extends the game, isn't the game generally around 12 hours to complete on a typical first time playthrough? It will be the last Wii title out of the 6 unplayed Wii games that I have in my collection that i'll eventually play. Not exactly looking forward to it for some reason. Then again, i could be in for a nice suprise hehe.
12 hours? More like 40 or so. I played for over twenty hours and just got bored with it. The art style and music blew me away, but it wasn't enough to keep me interested for that long.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I loved Melee and played the heck out of it, but something just didn't click for me with Brawl. I'm still not sure why.
The World Ends With You. The story is excellent, but the combat system frustrated me. I couldn't do the dual-screen combat, and the easy mode just didn't feel right.
Gran Turismo. How is a racing game realistic when it's actually more fun to drive my own car around my neighborhood? I guess it's realistic on some level, but it just doesn't appeal to me.
GTA games other than Chinatown Wars. I loved Chinatown Wars so much with its tight gameplay and controls. I tried GTA III, Vice City, and Vice City Stories, and all of them seemed slow and boring compared to Chinatown Wars. Quality sandbox games to be sure, but I just didn't have much fun after the first few missions.
I'm not counting the games that made me motion-sick (LOZ Wind Waker and Ratchet & Clank) because the motion sickness tainted my experience. I'm not sure why they had that effect (I also had a problem with The Simpsons: Hit & Run, but that was a very short rental).
Moco Loco If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.
I honestly can't name a game in this catagory.......
I'm pretty sure I think I'm funnier than I really am. 10 Years of Kingdom Hearts 3DS Friend Code: 0301-9785-9580 [url=http://www.youtube.com/user/NeoStormGaming]Watch me and my friends play games! Now with better visual qualit...
Super Mario Sunshine- never really liked the "water gun" idea, it just didn't work for me Majoras Mask- never liked the countdown, it stresses me out too much Paper Mario 2- I know it's supposed to be the best in the series, but I prefer the first one Luigi's Mansion- it's just kind of boring to me Any pokemon game- I don't like the battle system Spirit Tracks- I loved Phantom Hourglass but I hated the train idea in this game
And I'm very surprised that the smash bros games are on this, I thought everybody loved those games.

Easily my favorite game for the Wii but I can totally understand where your coming from one of the most timing consuming games I have ever played.

Wait a minute, 40 hours for just the main game? That's way too long for my liking... I thought it was maybe around 18 hours or something...I'm guessing you're including those side quests which are basically just optional or there on the side am I right?
I'm not referring to all the side quests. I guess it depends on the player, but you should expect a 40 hour quest, give or take. If you tried to beat it quick maybe you could finish it in 30, but I found the world to be too big for it's own good and overall confusing, which adds to it's time.
