I figure this would make a good counterpoint to the Worst Game You Enjoy thread. What are some games you know are good, but you just couldn't get into?

This is NOT an Overrated games thread

For me it's probably Half-Life 2. It's a great game with few flaws to speak of, and I actually enjoyed the beginning chapters, but once I got to Ravenholm it was all over. It felt disconnected, and was a major change of pace, something I always disagree with. It was also to atmospheric and scary, something I always hate. It also had too many puzzles, which I can't stand. It had Fast zombies, something that should never be. It required the use of the Gravity Gun, a weapon that I never feel safe with and will probably never use again. The biggest problem was that it was too long and too hard - as soon as the fast zombies were introduced, my level of progress dropped like a rock. I might watch the rest of the game on Youtube someday, but nothing could convince me to go back to Ravenholm.

Runner-ups:

Banjo-Kazooie - It's too childish in nature, and I don't like all the collecting.
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow - Something about this game irritated me so badly. I didn't like the soul collecting, which I found to be tedious and unrewarding. I also hated the Seals, they were too gimmicky and were annoying when you failed 'em.
Professor Layton - It has puzzles. I hate puzzles. Yet puzzles are all you do. Which is highly unfortunate, since it has a great story.
Valkyrie Profile - I really don't agree with its story style, it just doesn't grab me. I also couldn't agree with the gameplay style either.

Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow: the stupid seal thing was too dumb for me
Final Fantasy VII graphics aren't good enough to let you see out of the first area.

I really want to like Half-Life 2, but Ravenholm is a bit of a turn off for me. I might give it another try. How does the game change from this point onward? Should I just go through this section or is the rest of the game going to be the same?

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks - The game itself is decent, if very short and easy, but the real problem is the train. it unnecessarily drags things out, the warp system is far too convoluted, and it generally feels like it was released before Phantom Hourglass as opposed to feeling like a beefed up sequel.
Kirby's Epic Yarn - I liked it for the first few worlds, the graphics, and several other things...before it finally clicked. You can't die, meaning you can just play mindlessly and half-heartedly. It feels like nothing more than a glorified collect-a-thon that could have been much more. If I had to play a game that promotes collecting things, there are so many more enjoyable ones than this, featuring (what I feel to be) superior level design.
Sonic Colors - I enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic '06, Sonic DX, Adventure 2: Battle, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders, and every other title people hate Sonic for. I did not enjoy this and I do not know why. I am ashamed.
Super Mario Land - Awful physics, goes against everything I enjoyed about Super Mario Bros for the NES.

Mario Kart Wii. I find it unfair and boring compared to the other Mario Karts.
Kirby's Epic Yarn. I find this game completely overrated. My reasons are pretty much the same as Scyphers.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl: I went into the game hoping for it to be a good, competitive game, but what I got was a casual party fighting game. Sure, I like to play it sometimes online, but I spoiled any chances of it being great for myself thanks to hype. Never will I hype up a game as much as I did this one. :/
Final Fantasy VIII: It was sooooooo boring! I fell asleep TWICE trying to play this game. I just don't know what was up with it, but I couldn't stand it, lol.
Klonoa: Weird, cartoony graphics that gave me a headache, annoying characters, and a very cheesy endings. Didn't enjoy it very much.

That's about all I'm gonna say to prevent vapid fanboys from mauling me over my flagrant disregard of quality video games, lol.

FFVIII - I remembered watching my cousins play it when I was quite young, and the story and GF animations made such an impression on me that I vowed one day I would own that game. Well, I've owned it. And sold it. I really wanted to re-create that feeling of awe, but by the time I got around to buying it, the graphics were severely outdated, and my RPG skills were lacking.

Twilight Princess - I don't know what was wrong with me and this game, we just didn't click. After spending an hour fishing, and meandering around dark, depressing dungeons (I get that there's supposed to be dungeons, but these ones were... different), ya, just didn't work for me.

Pikmin - I tried!! I really tried!! Just not my thing I guess.

I agree with Corbs there. Also for me its any Final Fantasy game after FFVI. The went all graphics and their storylines are nothing compared to the FFs on NES and SNES. Also the fact that they went all Sci-Fiish rather than Fantasy like the older ones too.

Any FPS especially Halo, CoD etc. DO I really have to explain this one.

Lylat Wars. I just really, really can't stand it. I don't know why, I like all the other Star Fox games, I just have this underlying hatred for Lylat Wars.

Ocarina of Time. Call me a heretic for not liking this game, but this game is really overrated in my mind. The dungeons just weren't that great for me, the plot was paper thin, and none of the bosses were meorable. Plus the graphics have not aged well at all. I know that there's the remake, but it still doesn't change the majority of why I don't like it

Saber

Final Fantasy VII: Paper thin characters, terrible predicting story, and lame big swords.
Tales Of Vesperia: Awful and lame dialogue, story was terrible, Character AI was horrendous.

Any just about any Mario Kart game, considering their all the same thing over and over again.

Lan

FF VII because of the controls and graphics

God of War because it's to repetitive and Kratos is a crap character.

Gears of War because it feels heavy and nothing should take that long to kill

Rock Band because Guitar Hero just feels better

Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3 because I need Donkey and Diddy

GTA IV because...well...I'm not sure. It's just not fun.

Lots of censorship here...

Are you sure they're the best games then? Since they sound incredibly flawed to me.

Portal
Way too short for my taste, puzzles were too easy, and never liked the gameplay very much. I find the fans annoying, and the game is way too over-rated. (GamesRadar named it the best game of all time...Really, the game is 3 hours long and virtually un-re-playable due to it being a puzzle game.) . Portal 2 was better, but still on the short side and still easy.

Oh god, how did I forget this? Completely agreed.
