Everyone has bad days and it always seems to calm you down when you read about other people's bad days, since they get you (At least for that day). I figured I'd start a topic about this so everyone who's having a bad day and is reading through these forums can "click" with the subject.
I'll start. So Monday was my birthday (Yay 23) and was great and all, but I woke up at 4 in the morning, Tuesday morning to this immense pain in my left upper area of my teeth. Had all the symptoms of a Wisdom Tooth growing in. Awesome, I don't have insurance, or coverage, or the money to pay to get it removed. My roommate suggested some Orajel, says she uses it for her odd toothache so I did. Applied it on the tooth and around the gum and after 2 minutes, it worked! Then I started to get a cold, full on headache (Or fever, all I know is my head was pounding hard), which kept me all day and all night. By this point, my eyes are having a fit from being awake too long. Fast forward to this morning, my face is swollen enough that it looks like someone punched me and broke my cheekbone. So here I am with no insurance, no coverage, and not making enough money to get profession help, awesome. So while getting ready to apply more Orajel, I was feeling around my gumline and noticed where I've been putting the gel seems to be the source of the swelling, then I also realized my tooth doesn't even hurt anymore. So off to the internet I go, and what do I find? Hundreds of people experiencing the exact same fuggin' thing! There's no side effects warning on the bottle, and was was just a minor toothache, has been turned into such a dungstorm for the past 4 days. It's now 2:47 pm, and I still have gotten no sleep, but lucky for me my roommate is picking up some potent anti-allergy stuff, so I should be good in afew days. Also, I was hoping to go to a Metal gig tonight and jam with a band I haven't seen since about 2 months, now I have to pass on that because I speak like a due to the swelling.
he just wants to maybe discuss his bad day with other people on the forums, Tasuki. who knows how many of us are having bad days too?

My bad day today was: My tutor was on strike all day due to pension cuts and I was asked to stay at home and not have to attend college... on second thought, this is more of a good day than a bad one.
You're wisdom teeth growing in should only be a problem if they'll push your teeth out of whack. There's a good chance you won't even need to get them removed. They are annoying coming in (hurts just like when baby's are teething, you can suck on ice to help) - and you probably should see a dentist, because getting them removed early (or getting a retainer to hold your teeth in place while they grow in, if you need one) is still cheaper than getting them removed + braces later in life.
Even if it turns out you're fine keeping your wisdom teeth (and there's a good chance you will be), regular cleanings paid out of pocket are cheaper than fillings paid out of pocket!
