My problem with calling things like chess and videogames 'sports' is that that means the players are 'athletes'. I know some people might disagree, but I feel an athlete requires having physical ability and skill; something that not all people have. But with video games, I think if you devote enough time and practice, you can become professional, unlike with sports like basketball, a short person without jumping ability would not be seen as an athlete. But being 'MLG' feels (to me) like a variant of the terminology 'sport' that is vastly more appropriate to the idea.
There is my rant, and my answer to the OP is yes, but only when i'm playing my friends. So I guess it's conditional.
