Topic: Anyone up to making a game?

Hey Funky, wanna come up with a rough draft of the story together? I have a few good ideas on were to go with it, but I think we'd do better if we worked together.

Feel free to help, I have no idea for a story that has to do with a flying sqirrel...

Well I did think of some other stories, but I don't think a sqirrel as a main character would really work...

We need Kaiser around, the thread's getting kinda... messy. Too many cooks, etc.

I'll put myself forward as kind of a project 'secretary' if you want one, I'm no good at coding or drawing or anything like that, but I can keep things organised and moving forward at a reasonable pace.

And just a random Q: Do we have a music coordinator?

I thought that to at first the whole point of a winged squirrel was to implement both gliding and climbing in game play. the rest of the group seem pretty fixed on the idea of the squirrle; but since we are in a fourm after all so I guess it's still up for discussion; personally I would like a human charecter but set in a fantasy world that has the ability totrasform into creatures, kinda like in majora's mask.

Remember we can't make any bigdesisions without the rest of the groups word on the matter but I'd thought I'd just give my two cents, until the next time...

Yeah I was also hoping for a Human Character. I had an idea so I'll share the idea:

• Your a slave for (undetermined). You (the main character )get on the inside and find out why your a slave, who the people bossing you around are, and what they are planning to do with you and your people. You run away and try to find a way to stop the people bossing you and your group of people around. Along the way you meat others who have had similar expieriences from teh same slave owners (who are taking over the world destroying all groups of people).

I'm sorry for how confusing and weird this sounds, but if I could find a way to explain it more...thoroughly I'm sure it would sound good or at least better to you

@briunj04: Has Kaiser said to do that? idk if we should all just be running off and doing random 'organised' things, as helpful as it may seem. If everyone does that then all that happens is it just ends up more disorganised.
Community projects can work very well if they're kept tightly organised. On the flipside, even with the best intent and potential (and given who we've got drawing and coding, we've got stacks of both), they can easily dig their own grave.

I'm gonna be eating dinner so I'll be back later. I think it would be cool if we could all find a way to chat at the same time though... in teh official chat.

Edit: @Raylax, I don't see how it could hurt. It might not be optimal, but if it's not, I'll just tear it down. It seems more convenient than using the forums though

Uhhh, the project's not Coffeh's. I suggested hosting it on Coffeh if he wanted to join us, but haven't got a response on that front. So don't use Coffeh as related to the project, that's definately one for KaiserGX and Yai to decide. Can't say I'm too enamoured by it already feeling like mine and Yai's site is hijacking it D:

For the record:
Coffeh = Me and Yai
This game = Kaiser and Yai, and community involvement (as far as I can tell)
The two aren't connected xD

Calm down a little guys... all these ideas is little confusing at once. We need to come up with a solid plan that isn't over the top. I don't want to have to program something with so many features that my hands fall off. xD

oookay.....I'd love to help because i'm not to bad at art (i'm not very good at pixel art though...you can look at the pixel art thread to see for yourself), i'm just starting to learn coding, and i could make music for the game too. i just don't know if your wanting the 8-bit sounding music, or music that actually sounds like instruments.

Hmm, sorry, I just remembered reading that the game was titled "project coffeh" and I thought "...That's a weird name... it has nothing to do with the game!" But I rolled with it... We need a title for the game then

No Werble, that was the original topic. It was changed a few posts later when it was decided to be something else.

IDK what type of music we're doing, so IDK yet. but i've learned how to play a few instruments, and i used to make music with this one software, but i forgot the name of it.

ohhhhhhhhhh.......good. fan games have to many restrictions.
