Get involved in any extracurricular club or whatever that seems interesting. It's a great way to meet people. When you find what you really like if you need more time, choose a couple you really like, but use your first year to really get out there and meet new people and try new things! I generally limited my partying to Friday and saturday and social activities on other days were more low key (until senior year...). You need to find your own balance though. That will probly involve some mistakes. Make sure you party with friends you trust around and use protection. Follow those rules and probably none of those mistakes will be too far reaching.

Have fun! I have to admit I'm a bit jealous! I miss college too.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

If you have an essay due and haven't written enough to meet the page limit, you can use the Find and Replace feature in Word to make all your commas and periods a couple font sizes bigger, which will make your paper surprisingly longer.

Oh, and don't do drugs.

Come on, friends,

Go to class, study and make good grades and have a blast in your free time. Seriously DO STUDY cause if you dont you will be 27 and back in school like me Granted Im getting paid to go to school but still back in school.

Remember to change your underwear, and if it comes down to packing your bong or your books, take the books, and get a small pipe instead.

Remember that bar skanks and the frat rats might seem like a good target when you're drunk, but wrap that sucker up. Nobody wants a case of drippy winky.

Also, watch the booze (and drugs, if you must take them) for the first semester or so. If you start with bad habits it's harder to shake them later on.

Walking home drunk with friends is great fun. Especially if you're so drunk you circle the campus five or six times without knowing it and can't find your dorm room/apartment. Trust me, when you're drunk it's much more fun.

You can definitely leave studying until the last minute, that's what it's all about. Most degrees are next to useless now anyway, so you might as well enjoy it.

Don't party too much or you'll flunk like I did. And study study study. And if you're getting a new laptop go with a Mac cuz you can do more stuff on them and they don't get viruses that often.

I agree life is too short to force yourself to jump on the Nursing bandwagon!

Attend all of your classes even when you are sick!

As someone who was really sick while in college, I'll add a bit to that - figure out what you can afford to miss, and what you can't. If you get credits for simply attending class, do so - evn if you're too sick to pay attention, you'll at least get the credits. Skip lectures and such, you can catch up on the material when you get better, and try to set up deals with your professors to turn in assignments and especially do tests and quizes at a later date. You want to get well as soon as possible in order to not miss more credits than nessecary, and stressing out over schoolwork you don't absolutely have to do will not help you there. Rest up, get well, then catch up instead of trying to cope with being sick while studying - it will not work out well.

But if you do see a bandwagon full of nurses, by all means jump on it.

Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense.

Unfortunatly, theses days, a bandwagon full of nurses is about 50% dudes.

Make sure you know the difference between "its" and "it's." They are easy to confuse, but you really need to get them straight.

Yeah, but you run the risk of getting caught by cops and being arrested for public intoxication. It may sound silly but it happens.
