Based on absolutely nothing, I think the new Zelda on Wii U will have Majora's Mask gameplay elements to it.

I doubt they will go even further back in the time line for now. so I expect it to be a very special game that somehow makes the three timelines converge or just to be thrown anywhere without much thought I'm fine with either

I agree. I think the mask mechanic deserves a comeback. They clearly like the concept because I see the dominion rod, command melody, etc, as an off shoot of that.
And skull kid is a fantastic character. Hope he is involved in some way in future titles.
