I know, but that's why I preferred EA. Everyone looks for something different in the presentations. I don't really care for trailers of games I've seen a ton of. I'm already interested in all those Ubi games, but I'll wait for reviews to decide wether to buy or not. More trailers changes nothing. It's the same with Smash and Bayonetta 2 and X. I'm sure most of us know we'll be buying those games, so I don't need to see more footage. I want new games announced. This is just me though.

I can understand that, I just felt as a big Mass Effect and Mirror's Edge guy that that they were like were going to prod you cattle till next year. Plus while truthfully it didn't reflect in the conferences I like how Ubisoft is trying stuff like Child of Light and Valient Hearts.

Well its Nintendo's biggest game, Sony ended with Uncharted and i'm still a bit suprised Microsoft ended with crackdown instead of Halo.

Predictable and strong aren't mutally exclusive things.

Mario, Mario Kart and Zelda are Ninty's most predictable and strongest games but of course how they treat these games like twists of the Gamecube era (Sunshine's water pistol Mario, Wind Waker's toon look & Double Dash's 2 character in 1 kart) is something that can break the predictability.

So with Nintendo Swooping up Miyazaki with Bloodborne

and Microsoft grabbing Kamiya for Scalebound

You guys think Devil's third is on the Wii U?

Also when it comes to mutiple console owners I felt microsoft showed off stuff that might appeal to nintendo fans who want to branch out more.

I'm keeping my expectations low for today. Let's be honest, how much is Nintendo going to cover in a 40 minute Digital event? Probably not much.

-I expect to hear more about the games we already know about (but probably not all of them), like Zelda U, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, Monolith Soft's X, Yarn Yoshi, Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros. If they do that and reveal nothing else, I'd honestly be pretty satisfied with it. That's a solid lineup of games.
-I bet Super Mario Sunshine is getting an HD remake, a la Wind Waker.
-Nintendo will talk in great length about the NFC figurines and how they will operate with Super Smash Bros. and one other new crossover game.
-They will give some quick new info on Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Maybe hint at Pokken Fighters but not get into it.
-Super Smash Bros is likely getting a 3DS bundle.
-We'll see a new Smash character getting unveiled.
-One surprise 3DS reveal is coming. They have to talk about it for 90 minutes, so it's got to be something complicated and in-depth. It can't just be a platformer. My guess is it's Advance Wars 3DS.

Thats all. Even a couple of those things are probably not going to happen. But either way, I'm excited for Nintendo's event and I'll keep on buying their stuff regardless of how much or how little of it there is.

That's pretty good, it already beats everyone but Microsoft.

Seriously? There's hardly any new announcements in there. It's just showing more of what we know, which Sony and MS did a bunch of too. Nobody is going to be talking about Nintendo unless they have some wow moments. Something we didn't know was coming. As I've said before, they NEED to get people talking about them. Look how happy everyone here was with that January 2013 direct, but it hardly made a splash outside Nintendo websites and did nothing for sales.

Man, today is gonna be frustrating, I can tell.

True, but we know a lot more about upcoming Nintendo games than we do Sony games. The future of exclusive games for PS4 was bleak and barren, so mostly talking about what we know is much worse. Microsoft like Nintendo had several previously announced exclusives, and brought a few surprises. EA focused almost entirely on their annualized franchises, and I wasn't a fan of Ubisofts mostly because I didn't care for the games shown off.

Nintendo has 4 huge titles coming up this year, so just talking about those will get some buzz.

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

I think they'll open with smash bros because they want to start strong and end strong with zelda in addition to the fact smash bros isn't surprising anyone. Kinda like they opened with pikmin 3 a few years ago.

Was more saying they'd trick is repeatedly by making us think that they weren't going to show the new Zelda. They have three possible games to do that with, if all are ready I reckon they'll try with at least two of them. They did it before with the Mario Kart/Kirby thing which had me half convinced for half a second

With two of the "Big 3" out of the way, let me give my opinions on their shows;

Microsoft:

Although I was literally expecting nothing interesting to come out of their show, I was impressed. A large majority of the games they showed off looked solid and the announcements were completely unexpected. I mean, who thought that Phantom Dust would get a sequel/successor? I have a feeling that out of the Big 3, Microsoft will have the most "Solid" of the conferences, and that's a major improvement over endlessly spouting stuff about Kinect, sports, and TV.

Sony:

If Sony switched some things around and did their conference "In Reverse", Sony probably would be up there for having the best conference of E3 2014. They started off really strong, announcing LittleBigPlanet 3, Bloodborne, and other smaller stuff that was mixed in with interesting gameplay demos. Then they talked about firmware additions for half an hour, completely forgot that game players aren't the biggest fans of television, tried to get us excited for games we already played within the past few months, and ended with teasers/gameplay demos that were either uninteresting or boring.

EDIT: Changed some words to more accurately reflect what I was trying to say.

Oh we will play games we already bought. We will.

@ZeroZX_Dev While I would be satisfied with that, it would make for a poor conference if we already knew about everything. Besides, who doesn't want more?

I'd preferred them to announce more new games instead of a Ratchet remake too, but all the people dismissing that will go nuts when Nintendo do the same thing and announce a Sunshine remake later today. It will get tossed onto the 'big list of games in 2014' immediately.

It's almost as if this particular audience prefers Nintendo IP over Sony IP. Weird.

Well, preferring one game to the other, sure, but it's more mocking the concept of remaking a 6th generation platformer for an 8th gen machine when Sony does it, but calling it genius when Nintendo does it.

To be fair if they actually showe concept art or video the Rachet remake would have went down easier. Nintendo showed off Wind Waker HD with some improved screenshots, and Halo Collection looks really good. All sony said was you know those guys making hat cool xbox game coming out this year, they're working on something that's hitting some time next year so just take my word for it.

Remaking Gen 6 stuff is cool and all, but it caters almost exclusively to the built in fanbase. I absolutely loved Wind Waker HD, but then, I loved the original on Gamecube too.

I don't know if it's mocking the concept or just showing general disinterest. Either way, not the greatest thing to give a spot at E3. It wasn't for Nintendo last year either.
