The new JoJo opening is awesome. Haven't seen the new episode yet, but I'm excited.
I'm surpised you like the new opening, think I prefer Stand Proud but maybe because I prefer the action and the old song. I'm also not impressed by the ending. (I also miss The Bangles there ) However it has very nice artwork and I'm not gonna let those nitpicks stop me from loving JoJo.
I think you will like the newest episode, however it is mostly build-up for this week's, which I think should be much more action-packed. However it's just nice to see the team back together after all these months.
I just love how much more ominous it is compared to Stand Proud-- not that it's necessarily better, but it just seems more appropriate for the eventual confrontation with Dio.

I can see that, now that you mention it! I suppose it would need to take a more serious turn now that we're gearing up for the final battles. So then, maybe I just like the Stand Proud song too much.
I'm really feeling like trying something from the 90's (or even late 80's), or rewatching if I've seen it before. Any suggestions? Something Sci-Fi and/or fantasy would be great.
Just to mention, I actually settled on a few (Slayers, Magic Knight Rayearth, Outlaw Star, Dominion Tank Police, Orguss, and Macross Plus), I just haven't figured out what I'm gonna watch first yet because I was planning to do something...complicated, but screw it, I'll just role some dice.
...Macross Plus. Neat, that'll be quick. Now, do I watch the OVA or the Movie edit?
EDIT: Seems I'll have to watch both at some point. ^_^;; Guess I'll start with the OVA...
The good news, is that I'm fairly confident that the original cast will be showing up eventually. Other than Tenchi, Washu has made an appearance, and it's hinted that Mihoshi may be showing up next. Also, this thing may actually have a story behind it. In a flashback epidode (the one with Washu), it revealed that this is actually taking place in a dimension outside Tenchi's own, and Washu sent him here to rescue people lost in a break in dimensional space.

I saw they put Samurai Flamenco up on Netflix. It's not about woman and men in traditional Flamenco dress fighting with swords to the beat of Flamenco music.
I'm beyond disappointed.
For those that are curios about my personal, "Anime Awards," thing that I like to do after each year ends, here's the lowdown;
Education, life, and other hobbies got in the way of my anime watching for 2014. Most notably, I skipped out on a ton of Fall 2014 series like Rage of Bahamut: Genesis and Parasyte -the maxim-.
Throughout 2014 I mostly based my viewing habits on what looked good in the preview guides, which meant I spent a lot of time watching stuff like Akame ga Kill! and Nobunaga the Fool that I would quickly drop.
I'm currently marathoning more highly-regarded shows from 2014 that I initially missed so that I don't accidentally leave off deserving shows. I just finished Noragami yesterday and I'm preparing myself to finish Knights of Sidonia in the next 48 hours.
So yeah, don't expect my little awards thing until probably the end of January.
Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar. Please contact me before using my custom avatar!

Just wait until you get further in! It'll dissappoint you even more...unless you're into the Tokusatsu shows it's homaging/parodying...
Just picked up a couple of seinen manga's that caught my attention;
Vinland Saga - Viking's, vengeance, wars, and a boy becoming a man. What's not to like?
Re:Monster - A young man reincarnated into a goblin thanks to his so-called "stalker sister" (yandere). I found the light novel version of Re:Monster as well.
Weren't we just talking about this? Where'd all the posts go?!
...I forgot what forum I was on for a moment...
Depending on the schedule, I might actually watch that on Toonami...I still haven't gotten that far in...
Naruto Shippuden - A big Sai episode, mostly. He found the inspiration to finish his art book, and we learned something surprising about his true mission.
InuYasha: the Final Act - Big things going on. As the title suggests, this episode spelled the end for Moryomaru. Over the next two episodes, Koga & Kikyo will be making their departures from the show as well.
One Piece - Sort of a mixture of stuff we've seen before, and new material (mostly the big event of Franky destroying an important document). Can't wait for the big fights to finally get underway.
Gurren Lagann - Big stuff going on now. The truth about the Spiral King's actions come to light, and all heck breaks loose as they get assaulted by more of those anti-spiral weapons. Looks like it's also about to pull it's best Majora's Mask impression. Dun, dun, duuun!
Also, they had a fancy new show montage thing.

Okay, actually doing this now. Almost done with the first season, and THIS SHOW IS AMAZING!!!
Really, I think what impresses me most (besides all the world-building and how it really gives me a sense that they're playing a real (and really cool) game) is how well it uses its slow moments. It's not a very action-focused series. In fact, there are a lot of slow episodes, but it always manages to keep itself interesting. It just feels perfectly paced. The action scenes are pretty cool, too, but they're rarely given much focus compared to the story.
Ah yeah. Special ZKC chapter today, and it's staring Fujiko-chan and her old comrades from WWll. Thank you, ZKCTP! Now I hope we can follow it up with a new chapter of the new mini-arc later this week. Since the raws of 394 didn't show up last week.
Been mostly on an Idol anime kick lately with Uta Prince, Love Live, and Wake Up Girls. Currently watching Super Sonico... having a hard time with this one though because the main character is one of those airheaded happy go lucky types I find very annoying and the anime itself isn't all that interesting either. Love Live's main character was that type as well but she shared the spotlight with eight girls I liked more so it was tolerable, unfortunately for Sonico, the other members of First Astronomical Velocity (so far) don't get featured enough to make this something I may stick out through to the end. The music ain't half bad... but not worth watching a barely interesting anime for like say K-ON's was.
I still haven't watched The Idolm@ster yet... been putting that one off for some reason so I'll probably start on that after I either give up or finish Sonico.
Current Playlist: Age of Calamity, Stardew Valley, ACNH
Love Live! is awesome. It's definitely one of the better idol anime I've seen.
I would give up on Super Sonico already. It doesn't get any better.
The Idolm@ster is okay, I know a lot of people loved it, but the anime was too slow and boring for my interests. You should try skipping to the new Idolm@ster: Cinderella Girls that's currently airing instead. The assortment of characters seems like it'll be a really fun show to watch.

I'm interested to know what you'll think of Season 2. It switched studios and maybe it's me being nitpicky, I don't think Studio DEEN handled it nearly as well. I loved the first season, one of the best and most refreshing entries in the whole "the game is now real life" genre, but I couldn't manage with Season 2.
Anyway, I'm super late to the party with this, but the ADV English dub for Ghost Stories is hilarious. Reminds me of the gag dubs on the Berserk DVD releases.
