Stick with it, because it gets better as the series goes on. Directors Cut episodes in particular really stand out for their voice acting.

Well this season the only shows I've been keeping up with is Amagi Brilliant Park and Selector Spread WIXOSS.
The most recent series I finished was Inu x Boku, I finished this about a month ago. Was very cute.
Nothing in the Winter 2015 anime season particularly interests me, except for maybe Yuri Kuma Arashi.

Say what now?

I keep picking up, and dropping Noragami. I sorta wanna watch it but when I start I just get bored.
Is this show worth watching?

I didn't like Noragami, but I'm sure others have different opinions.

Just a friendly reminder if you ever wanna watch a show based off a dating sim, where the girl gets made out with (by different guys) every episode and isn't even fazed by it, you should try Brothers Conflict. This is the most cringe inducing anime I've ever seen. (Second to Diabolik Lovers)

Have you seen School Days? It's one of two anime that actually managed to anger me (the other is Code Geass).

I forgot Kill la Kill was supposed to have an OVA like 2 months ago.. I finally watched it right now. It was amazing! It was just an unaired episode. I have no idea why this episode wasn't broadcasted, it was a MUCH MUCH better ending. Episode 24 felt anti-climactic and the final fight was a let down. The OVA had an actual over the top ending to the fight, closure on the main characters, and a heart filled fair well. It was fantastic and satisfying. I loved it. I'm glad I finally got to see the end to this series. Kill la Kill is one of the best anime to come out in recent years.

That was probably the first piece of anime I've seen in like 3 months. I'm really starting to dislike the medium sadly. Everything looks the same now and I'm struggling to find stuff that interests me without pace destroying fan-service every 5 minutes. But I'm also more busy so I'm probably just not looking as hard as I used to.

I can relate, Retro. I'm struggling to find things post-JoJo.

Which is why I'm here: I finished the first season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventures. It was spectacular. The second part had perfect pacing and the story was quite interesting and full of twists. The fights were fun, albeit it had way too many "Just as Planned" moments, where JoJo places a trap apparently when no one was looking, but even that gets better in terms as it goes...or at least becomes part of the spectacle. The characters were cool, too, and it had a nice ballance of silliness, drama, and sheer rediculousness. Joseph Joestar in particular was a great character because he's supposed to be a prankster/goofy character and he just plays it up most of the time. He never feels overpowered, nor does he ever come off as an idiot - he's always thinking of new tricks, just as a good prankster should. I definitely recommend watching it, even if that's the only part you see. (Though Part 3 is most famous so I assume that's good, too)

No. It started good, then went in a stupid direction by episode 7.

If my cable's info is to be believed, it looks like Toonami may do another movie filled December.

The first Saturday in December, our cable has the line-up as:

  • 10:30 - Attack on Titan
  • 11:00 - Hellsing Ultimate (New. It points out that this is episode 9. The last one shown on Toonami was episode 8 before being replaced by IY:TFA)
  • 12:00 - Summer Wars (A movie they showed last December, and apparently again this year)
  • 2:30 - Cowboy Bebop
  • 3:00 - FMA:B
  • 3:30 - GitS
  • 4:00 - Big O
  • 4:30 - Samurai Jack

Time is central.

EDIT:

Assuming that this is true (and assuming Summer Wars isn't just a placeholder), I'd like for the other three movies to be:

  • Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods
  • Evangelion 3.33
  • Either a Bleach, Naruto, or One Piece film

Decided to try out Psycho-Pass, after seeing a lot of stuff about it on my tumblr.
I don't usually watch this sort of thing but hopefully I'll like it.

Give it a few episodes, at least. Plot takes a while to get into full swing. It's one of my favorites though, hope you like it!

Read the newest chapter of Bleach today!

The fight between Ywach & the "monk" continues. Ywach restored his power (which was just halved at the end of last chapter), then put up a barrier to block the "monk's" attacks, but he got through anyway. The "monk" started to choke Ywach, but Ywach's power started to invade him through the contact & take control, then the "monk" shrugged off the invasive power and injured Ywach.

Ywach managed to escape the "monk's" grasp, but the "monk" then released his Zanpakuto (the brush), whose bristles sharpened into a blade.

I also read Kanata, the very first one-shot by the guy behind History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi (and the first thing he's done since the completion of his long running series)!

It features a high school girl & her neighbor Kanata (who also happens to be her classmate, and childhood best friend). The twist is, Kanata is training to master the ninja techniques passed down through his family, and completely neglects his schoolwork. At first the girl is worried about her friend's future (after all who needs a ninja in this day & age?), but she soon learns the true value of his abilities after a run in with some delinquents after school, which turns out much crazier than you'd expect!

I really liked this one. It follows the classic formula of having someone from the real world being thrown into a fantastical event (much like Tenchi, Bleach, InuYasha, or HSDK itself), and it has a traditional Japanese vibe, which I like.

It's the first in a series of three different one-shots he's going to be doing, and I can't wait to see what he's going to come out with next.

@RR529 : It's no placeholder. The schedule for next month is as follows:

December 6th – Hellsing Ultimate 9 and Summer Wars
December 13th – Hellsing Ultimate 10 and Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos
December 20th – Dragonball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan and Akira
December 27th – Evangelion 1.11 and Evangelion 2.22

So, what all are you able to do with the Crunchyroll app if you don't create a profile or get a subscription? I'm thinking about downloading it if they get Kyokai no Rinne next spring. Would I be able to do at least that much?

I wouldn't mind having to watch ads, waiting an extra week to watch the new episodes, or the lack of HD (which I think are the limitations of the free version?)

Disappointing that much of it is already stuff they've shown before, but at least it's all good stuff (and they haven't shown that FMA movie before, so that'll be fun).

Toonami Saturday night!

Dragon Ball Z Kai - Missed first half. Just the start of training.

Naruto Shippuden - The gang has infiltrated the enemy hideout.

One Piece - As per the trend, we got more flashback tonight. This week was Nami. The little short at the end was disturbing...

Gurren Lagann - The final battle between Team Dai-Gurren & the forces of the Spiral King were, in a word... EPIC! A hint that not all is over, though.

InuYasha: the Final Act - The obligatory episode where Shippo gets to be a brat.

Also, T.O.M. & Sara played through Halo: the Master Chief Collection (segments payed for by Microsoft), and they had promos for the final episodes of Hellsing Ultimate, as well as Summer Wars. Month of movies starts next week.

Ok I have been watching Space Dandy and I keep seeing a lot of references to Cowboy Bebop... so is the team made up of formal members of Cowboy Bebop and Dandy is in the same universe and stuff or is it just references for the heck of it?

@GamecubeMan, both series were created & directed by Shinichiro Watanabe.

To be honest, I didn't notice too many CB references in Space Dandy myself, though (other than the fact they use the same currency). What references did you notice?
