@Dezzy
Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Astral Chain.
Animal Crossing.
DQ XI S.
Link's Awakening.
Luigi's Mansion 3.
Daemon x Machina.
Plus inevitable new announcements.
I'd say they have enough on their plate for a massive E3.
Now watch them waste half of it on a Smash DLC reveal or something.
yeah. i mean, they’ve promised all 5 fighters out by, what was it, february 2020? and it’s been six months since the game came out and only one’s been released? they’d better get to announcing some new characters, or announcing an extension of that deadline. i can’t imagine we won’t see a new fighter announced at e3, but i hope they don’t spend too much time on that.
Yet they still do it via official Nintendo Directs. Seems pointless. Everyone basically regards them as first party, even if they're technically not entirely. (doesn't Nintendo only own 1/3 of the company?)
I think I've already seen enough Fire Emblem tbh. Just get the game out already and I'll definitely buy it if it gets over 80% on metacritic. Simples!
Although I'm not feeling it as much as the 3DS games for some reason. I don't think the art style is quite as distinct.
@Dezzy This Fire Emblem seems super unique. I'm quite excited for it.
Awakening was hype, but Fates was Awakening+ with price-gouging via separately sold campaigns and mechanics that didn't belong in the games in the first place. (...and the dumbest story ever in Conquest, LMAO)
I've heard Echoes is decent, but I've also heard the level design leaves much to be desired.
Either way, the series was stuck in a bit of a rut post-Awakening, and it needed shaking up. This seems pretty radically different, in that regard. I also like how the zoomed in fights on the battlefield look like something out of FE Warriors.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
I feel like they've done a rather poor job getting people excited for Fire Emblem outside of hardcore fans of the series. The game really needs a good trailer at E3 and some Treehouse segments to get more people hyped imo. Wouldn't surprise me if we got a dedicated Direct in early July either.
@Ralizah Honestly with the Xbox tease I posted about earlier, I get the feeling Smash won't be in the Direct but instead at the Microsoft conference and Treehouse only.
@Dezzy To try and simplify it:
Nintendo owns 1/3 of The Pokemon Company
Game Freak owns 1/3 of The Pokemon Company
Creatures owns 1/3 of The Pokemon Company
Nintendo may or may not presently own shares in Game Freak, but it's presently assumed they do not.
Nintendo does own a lot of shares in Creatures, but we don't know the exact number.
So it's... a bit of a grey line to those of us who can't see the numbers to know how much of everything everyone owns.
Anyways, THQ Nordic may end up being my personal favorites at E3 this year, without even attending. Spongebob remake and Diabloesque Darksiders are two games I'll definitely be picking up.
@link3710 It gets even more complicated if you consider that The Pokemon Company doesn't own Pokemon either; it's split between them and Nintendo. With Nintendo having most of the trademarks and names iirc, and TPC owning the franchise name. I don't know, it's weird man.
For anyone visiting Nintendo’s booth at E3 this year, you can now reserve warp pipe passes that will give you priority access in line. Note that you need a Nintendo Account to reserve a pass. https://experience.nintendo.com/#/events/10016
Honestly, the survive together campaign made me so warm and fuzzy. This partnership Microsoft and Nintendo have at the moment is just amazing. Long may it continue.
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
