Paladins crossplay is Switch/Xbox.

No PC on this one?

Don't think it'd be a good idea putting a competitive FPS in the same pool of players as PC gamers. Playing with xbox should be more than enough to keep the game alive for a good amount of time on the Switch

Okay. Now look at the other side.

Who the hell is playing this on Xbox One to be able to play with Switch users? It turns out for it to work you need players on BOTH sides.

@Shellcore Never played it, probably never will. I have Overwatch and even then its meh.

@Knuckles-Fajita I imagine more than if it was just Switch users.

But wouldn't it be better to put all of them in one place? Put PC in there too? I mean Crazy Justice seems to have no issue with PC crossplay, nor does Fortnite. Shooters. Mouse and keyboard.

@Snaplocket Microsoft this generation can be summed up as Backpedal, the Company. They've been getting better with backwards compatibility and services though, they just need to actually have games. People may think Nintendo has "only kiddie platformers and Zelda" but Microsoft literally only has shooters and Forza, and all of their otherwise-interesting games like Scalebound got canned.

The PS4 isn't 'For The Players' at all, really, is it?

@Knuckles-Fajita Haha! Yeah, I think that the brief must've been to create a snappy slogan containing at least two of the words 'Play', 'Station' or '4/Four/For' - no matter how true a reflection of the brand it may be (clearly!)

Ah well...at least they didn't go with '4play', I guess!

@NaviAndMii I think my points were the capped wifi, backwards compatability or lack thereof, limited and poorly running PS2 re-releases, paid online, no cross play, turning away from indies, external storage took 3 years to show up, so did folders, the inability to change your PSN name because thats the thing all your data is stored to rather than a random value that stores your username and other things (Like a friend code for instance...) and of course timed exclusive DLC because why the hell not?

Plus, how can I have the PS3 digital releases of the Jak games, see the trophy list for them on my PS4, check my account to see what games I have downloaded, its clearly visibile I already own them, why did I need to pay full price for the same, but worse running, games on PS4?

I get that Sony are in the 'power position', so don't have to implement features like Cross-Network Play - but I see Cross-Play as one of the real positives of modern gaming - so for Sony to not be (fully) on-board with that is, consequently, one of the real negatives of this gen for me...

...I hope that they change their policy in time for the next generation of consoles - if not, people (myself included) might migrate to a brand that truly is 'For The Players' instead!

@NaviAndMii I have the link to the site on my bio, but that article is one of the few that didn't survive the transition from the old site because XML hates me. Newer articles are all formatted correctly though.

not sure if anyone mention this. but, DMC 5 website has been register. announcement on the way during Sony's E3? (maybe at Xbox's too, but likely on Sony's E3) might get it on PC.

Does that mean Capcom has abandoned the DMC reboot style?

Then why was Bayonetta announced 6 months ago if they already had all these other invisible games announced for 2019? My point is that continue to say 'we're only talking about this year' while continuing to announce games for the far off horizon without showing actual footage is textbook cake-and-eat-it-too.

@Grumblevolcano That's 6pm ET. Otherwise the Splatoon 2 finals is 5 hours and that Nintendo Direct is hours late.

Yeah, that confused me as well, but it says 'New York' on the top, so I figured it was ET.
